Following All the Potential Draftees Ever ***Ultimate Official Thread****

I just want to know if there is a "can't miss", "surefire #1 pick, "next LBJ", "phenom" caliber prospect on the horizon. And if so, who he is.

I just want to know if there is a "can't miss", "surefire #1 pick, "next LBJ", "phenom" caliber prospect on the horizon. And if so, who he is.

That's what this list is for! Check out #1, His video's have almost 1,000,000 views. He's of Wilt Chamberlain dimensions (Like Gobert) already, Infact his wingspan is already longer; 7'10". He can shoot 20'ers, he runs like the wind, shows nice timing/reflexes. It's early but he's got plenty of staying power.

Really surprised you have Ayton that high.

I've seen Ayton have off games, or where another big matches him. I've seen him kind of fade in and out of a game - maybe he's just a 4 inch taller version of Bam Adebayo(#44 on the list), I doubt it though... I've also watched Bagley(#3) get held to 13 points in that elimination game loss in the peach jam vs the Georgia Stars.

If Ayton is a true center, I've certainly got him overrated.. no doubt. I think he can play PF though, and when I start to look at the list of starting PF's, I think to myself, "Ayton has the advantage here" (especially on the boards). Also Ayton with some proper strength and conditioning figures to be quite the specimen, I'd venture to say he will be jacked like Anthony Davis is now at 22, when he's 21. He's also probably a legitimate inch or 2 taller than Davis.

Condensing them doesn't make much sense, there's chronology involved. Coupled with the fact that the Jazz have more than enough draft picks(near 20) to field a whole new team in just the next 5 years, it'd be a bit much..

I just posted early mocks in 2016 and 2017 today, soon ill drop top-10, 15 or 20 lists in '18, '19 and '20.

Then perhaps, I'll post the 'ultimate' classless top-100 rankings which could end up a decent bump down the road...

Infact this thread seems like a decent landing spot for them.

Vast majority of secon round picks never make NBA roster. Many first round picks bust. I am not sure you are aware of this.

The list sorts out a bit better than I expected, (By class and position), 101 players currently. 8 from 2020, 13 from 2019, 22 from 2018, 33 from 2017 and 26 from 2016.

This number adds up to over 101 because of multi-positions but it's 20 PG's, 27 SG's, 29 SF's, 28 PF's and 17 C's

I think I'd make some minor changes on how the Center's are ranked, right now its Azubuike 4th and Zimmerman 5th, I'd switch that. would also knock Ivica Zubac down a few spots.

There's a few things in the rankings that I'll admit stand out as kind of a stretch at this point;

- Michael Porter over Josh Jackson?
- Billy Preston over Ben Simmons?
- Jonathan Isaac/Wenyen Gabriel in the mid-teens??
- Are younger players like Jadeon Ledee, Silvio De Sousa, Scottie Lewis and E.J. Montgomery deserving of such lofty rankings?
- Frank Ntilikina, Isaiah Hartenstein, Rodions Kurucs deserving of such lofty rankings?
- Seems to be a drop off in talent around the mid 70's
- I suspect many of the 2019 players in the second half of the list are infact underrated, sans Isaiah Mucius(#95) who might be the first player on the list I'd replace if need be.
- Kris Dunn over Troy Brown is probably not right, i'd switch that up.
- Underrated Centers? Zach Brown, Nick Richards
- Henry Ellenson over Bam?
- Is Trae Young underrated?
- Who am I missing??? I'm sure there's still a few obvious ones I've overlooked.

A player I think might be severely underrated on this list is 6'5" Zion Williamson #64. I've seen early James Harden comparisons, he's certainly damn athletic. Video's 2 days old.

yeah but this covers 5 years or 150 first round picks (some could still be draft eligible in 2023).. nomsaying? and this just goes to 101 (so far). 90 1st rd picks in the next 3 years and there's 80 players listed here.

this is a feeble attempt at putting them in order.

It's pretty damn obvious that Zion belongs in Utah. We shouldn't even have to use a draft pick on this guy. They should just automatically give him to us.

To have that much time on my hands...must be nice.
I admire people who make the time to do the things they are most passionate about. I had a hobby that some (including my ex who cared about money more than anything) thought was a waste of time, and now that she's married to my gross ex neighbor my fun little hobby has suddenly started paying me six figures a year. Boom baby!

Elijah Weaver posted earlier in the 2019 thread is certainly good enough to be high on this list. I'd put him 1 spot after #37 Hamidou Diallo.

He's slightly Klay Thompson-ish
