Following potential 2013 draftees

OP:

Someone should take this whole thread - puts it through a computer program analyzing "possitive" & "negative" words and graph it over time, showing the thread's emotions since it has started, leading up to draft day.

It'll be fun watching how our "moods" changes as time goes by..

"@DraftExpress2: Jean-Charles is 2 boards away from the World Select Team record of 14, will finish in the top-5 in points as well. Won't catch Kanter's 34."

Wow .. who would have thought:

Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider 28s
World team beats USA 112-98. France's Livio Jean-Charles with 27/13. Germany's Dennis Schroder with 18/6. Parker with 22/7. Randle 19/8.

At the expense of PKM's UK team - who would have thought we might have a glimmer of hope in Schroeder?

"@DraftExpress: All three players that spent time guarding Schroeder or Exum tonight -- Jefferson, Hill and Jackson-- fouled out. World guards are athletes."

I still prefer McCollum, but think Shroeder is good enough you don't trade up for McCollum. He has the first step blow by of a Ty Lawson or Tony Parker. You can really exploit that against teams with big or old point guards. Don't have to set high ball screens every single time down court.

"@DraftExpress2: This @nikehoopsummit World Select Team will go down as one of the best ever assembled when we look back at it a few years from now."

Schroeder--good quickness, good poise and maturity for his age, good passer--though not an elite passer, pretty solid defender. He's not super skilled, but his quickness makes him a real factor.

Jabari Parker looked good from what I saw. The combination of Parker and our front court could make us contenders, but I'm not sure if Parker could carry a team on his own.

The other guy who impressed me was Towns.

Holy crap though, could you imagine a starting lineup of Burks and Hayward at the Guards, with Jabari, Enes and Favors in the frontcourt? They could each take turns carrying the team for five minutes at a time.

ok you guys are starting to give me a bongo for Schroeder. I would still take McCollum. doesn't sound like Schroeder will be there at 21 either. question if McCollum and Burke are gone but Schroeder and McW are still on the board at 14 where do you go?

I don't think Schroeder is worth the #14 pick. I'd rather take McCollum, Austin, Giannis or Olynyk. If we were pick 17 or 18, I think Schroeder might be on the table.

What do people think?

I'd take Austin or Giannis at 14 and consider Westerman at 21, along with Karasev, Withey, Caldwell-Pope and Archie Goodwin.

Imagine that Towns is going into his SR year of High School????????
