Final tally: five NBA teams sent executives over the water to scout the Euroleague Final Four. Sacramento, Atlanta, Toronto, Utah, Brooklyn.

Did anyone see that final from Euro? How do fans sneak flares into the stands?

They drafted Lyles more for his playmaking than for his shooting.

You misspelled balance...

His ball handling and driving could be good and when his shot was on he really helped the offense.

I see the idea of Lyles, but I'm really questioning the mental makeup. Seems almost too relaxed. He needs to get some seriousness/intensity to him. I hate that Locke said he checked out when he was out of the rotation. He could have easily gotten 30 minutes a night if he got/stayed ready... Gobert has spoiled me I guess... I like guys that when they are out of the rotation work their asses off to make sure it doesn't happen again. Not just get salty and pout.

He isn't nearly as big as Favors though so couldn't double as a backup center. He does seem to have a good motor and is a ferocious competitor.

He could play backup center... the league is getting smaller and faster.

My biggest concern on him was just how awful his boxing out was at times. He can easily correct that. I'd rather have a backup big that can switch on the perimeter... not many post up bigs anymore. I think he has to play like a center on offense, but he can pass and playmake.

I like a lot of the bigs in this draft... we need to come away from the draft with one of them.

Yeah, I think they drafted him for his entire skillset and the fact that he has legitimate PF+ size.

One thing I've thought about, and I think I heard it in a podcast somewhere, is the body fat % test. Trey Lyles measured out with 12.1% body fat. The guys on the podcast were saying the issue isnt them being slightly overweight, but what it could say about their work ethic. If a player is coming in out of shape into the combine then that is most likely a bad sign about their discipline.

The longer I follow trey Burke, the less I blame Lindsey for that one.

Trey lyles is still a mystery to me.

Ridiculous upside has a piece today that blisters the Wizards bench for lack of productivity vs. the Celtics. I guess Trey didn't endear himself to Coach Brooks.

Trey Burke made the All-Rookie 1st team and averaged 12.8 PPG to go with 5.7 APG. He had a 3/1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He shot 90.3% from the free-throw line. Burke's biggest problem was he couldn't shoot the ball. Some of that had to do with his finishing ability due to his size and confidence issues I think as well. I don't blame anyone for that pick because at the time it was a home-run.

There is a lot of truth to this statement. The season is done and it is time to stop working.

Well the thought is if they arent working hard to be in the best possible shape during the combine/workouts, then what will motivate them? That should be a period when they are really trying to look their best to teams. That isn't gospel, I know Millsap had a weight issue going into the combine, so idk. It's just something to think about This year most of the prospects were in a pretty solid shape besides Tyler Lydon, who was %13.6 body fat which is pretty poor given the fact he isn't exactly a guy with a big body frame.
