What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

They play him mostly at PF but he projects more as a SF in the NBA IMO.

Do you think he has a chance in hell to guard 90% of the SFs in the league? His feet don't seem good enough on D, IMO... Very smart and skilled player though.

Now we need to find the better version of Hayward in this draft and draft him ahead of Leaf.

On a more serious note - PG_AB, have you seen Temple wing Quinton Rose? If yes - what's your opinion on him? I only saw 1 game of him and I really liked him.

I've actually seen Temple play twice this year but wasn't watching him closely, vs UMASS I was watching Jerreau and vs FSU where he went off and hit the game-winning FT's I was mostly watching the Noles.. Seems like he's got some Caris LeVert to his game, right?

I put in a word to some local hoops people to see if they had any feedback since he's from Rochester.

All the services have him listed at 6'5" or 6'6" and Temple lists him at 6'8" so he's obviously had a bit of a growth spurt recently. He's listed by different services as a PG, a SG and a SF... which to me is usually a good sign.

Scout has him at 4stars, which seems to be right. He certainly had an inordinate amount of offers from good schools for a 3star.. Looks like a player to watch though, I like him. Hopefully he keeps shooting 3's in the high-30's. GREAT find for Temple.

Not right away but it's within the realm of possibilities, he's a better athlete than Doug McDermott.

The question with him is about his 3pt shot and it looks good thus far. If he can shoot he's worth a gamble because he's a triple-threat.

Another sleeper. 42% from 3 on 4.5 attempts per. He's 19.

Yeah, that's the game I watched. I'm reluctant to give comparisons before watching more of him but he popped off the screen - seems very quick for his size and has some skill. I had not heard of him and with his play(he was instrumental in Temples run to get back in the game) he made me check him up on DX and nbadraft and other sites and he was nowhere to be found. None of them has him in their mocks and the kid is averaging 13/4/2 in 25mpg as an 18 year old freshman, who is supposedly 6'8(Temple might be stretching him a bit, maybe 6'7 is more realistic) ... I definitely need to watch more, but he seems like a surefire draftable guy at first glance. He is super skinny though. His body will need tons of work.

I know 2 dudes from Rochester who follow HS recruiting who've never heard of him. One of ems a Syracuse fan who knows all about Isaiah Stewart who he's playing with here.

Thomas Bryant (IU) is from Rochester too. They were HS teammates.

Stll waiting to hear back from someone who probably coached against him in the summer.

He's not Robert Williams but Hall might not be far off.

long athletic shot-blocking type of PF that, in his best case scenario, would platoon well with Lyles. He's got a 1st rd build.

Why is Harry Giles down to 13 in DX's mock? Do they have bad news about his injuries or something? I can't imagine him falling that much.

I've seen lydon three times this year. Has been pedestrian at best, garbage at worst every time. The grad transfer from Nebraksa is the best player by far.

I think Luke Kennard is the most Gordon Hayward-ish player in the draft.

I've seen a few reactions from last nights game comparing him to Hayward. IMO Jayson Tatum seems like the closest thing. Dzanan Musa in the next draft..

I think its feasible that if Kennard keeps playing like this that he could wait til the 2018 draft and increase his draft stock into the top20.

Fell asleep watching Cal-Princeton last night. Was just an off-game but that was the worst I've ever seen Ivan Rabb play.. Scoreless in the 1st half finished with 6 points in 33 minutes.

Rawle Alkins is going into the 1st rd of my next mock. I think the Jazz would like him. He's sorta like Shelvin Mack but bigger/more badass/athletic.

I'm tempted to make an official "pls draft Tacko Fall" thread. This time last year he wasn't even in DX's freshman rankings, now they've got him in the 40's of the 2018 draft.

I think he's ready this year tho. He's quite simply one of the best athletes of anyone 7'5"+ on this planet... Thats the truth. He's got a 10' standing reach and presents issues on the boards and in rim protection and he can catch.

to me many of the giants you see on the court are giants that get converted into basketball players(Yinka Dare). I've always thought Fall was already a ball player, and thats how he's progressed because he's only been getting better.

Looks like a high-upside 2nd rd project to me... 20 and 13 on 10/10 fg's vs the #1 team in the nation Villanova. He's shooting 81% from the field.
