What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Yeah, that's been being discussed for about a year now.

I'm down with this big time. It could make sense to as far as pushing back having to re-sign a future player too which is good. Go out, sign Conley and maybe make an upgrade over Ingles and we're looking good as ****.

Earliest we can get the OKC pick is 2018 because they gave Philly their pick this year. All depends on Durant staying or leaving. We won't get the pick if they're in the lottery.

My understanding was that teams can not go back to back years without making a 1st rd selection. Does acquiring the draft rights to Sabonis not essentially nullify the fact that OKC traded this year's 1st rd pick?

One of the short term rental (possibility) of Hill is how stacked '17 is for PG's. Hill gives Exum a year to breathe and then we either let him go (because Exum is good) or resign him (because Exum hasn't yet proven) and have the ability to draft Exum's backup, if need be. Anyway...........

My WAY TOO EARLY mock.

1. Harry Giles (PF)
2. Josh Jackson (SG/SF
3. Markelle Fultz (PG)
4. Dennis Smith (PG)
5. Jayson Tatum (SF)
6. Frank Ntilikina (PG)
7. De'Aaron Fox (PG)
8. Edrice "Bam" Adebayo (PF)
9. Malik Monk (SG/combo)
10. Jarrett Allen (C)
11. Lonzo Ball (PG)
12. Ivan Rabb (PF)
13. Omer Yurtseven (C)
14. Marques Bolden (C)
15. Thomas Bryant (PF)
16. Johnathan Isaac (SF)
17. Jonathan Jeanne (C)
18. Miles Bridges (SF)
19. Isaiah Hartenstein (PF)
20. Tyler Lydon (SF/PF)
21. Rodions Kurucs (SF)
22. Grayson Allen (SG)
23. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (SG)
24. Ogugua Anunoby (SF)
25. Justin Jackson (SF)
26. Devin Robinson (SF)
27. Monte Morris (PG)
28. Lauri Markkanen (PF)
29. Chimezie Metu (PF)
30. Jessie Govan (C)

I think it's a two-man first tier again between Giles and Josh Jackson.
2nd tier goes 3 - 9.
3rd tier goes 10 - 18.
4th tier goes 19 - 30.

We need to get one of the PGs if our PG doesn't improve this year. I'd love any of the top 5-6 PGs. I think all of them are better than this draft's best PG(Dunn).

I didn't put Alonzo Trier in my first round, but believe he could be a steal in the late first/early second.

I think Hartenstein is better than you ranked him. His body is so versatile. Less talented players with more character concerns have been taken higher.

Next year Jazz should really go all out in moving up the draft since it's a much stronger draft class. I mean, trade their 2 1st rd picks along with other assets to move into the lottery.
