Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I have been pretty against this, but I'm warming to to the idea of 5 and 21 for 3. I just personally like VJ better than Ace or Tre and if the Charlotte smoke is true we won't have a chance to get him at 5

I'm still against it, but like I said, warming up to it
I thought you had Tre at 3?

Speculating about what another team may want on draft night when talking about potential trades? What a horrible thing to do on a basketball forum.

I do think PHI would love to trade down for Kon and get some other assets to improve their roster. #7 to NOP seems like it could be a thing with Herb. I don't know who NOP would be targeting at #3 though. VJ and Ace seem to be a tier based on current betting odds.

NBADraft.net finally matched us with Tre which shows they're finally paying attention. They have us drafting Penda later in the first and in the 2nd Jaxson Robinson (5th year senior but has a nice overall game) and the Aussie Olbrich.

If Beringer is there at 21 I will be super excited though if not Penda has a nice game.

Agreed that if there's a guy we want I'm perfectly happy with 5+21 for it.

I don't really see a guy I feel that way about at 3 (I'm assuming Flagg/Harper 1/2), but it's a good move imo.

Beringer's tools are a lot less exciting than I hoped for. He's going to be fine, but he's not as quick or explosive as I hoped. Seems smart and is definitely agile and long enough to be a good NBA backup and maybe starter.

I've become a bit Will Riley pilled lately and I actually think he's incredibly close to Joe Ingles as a prospect.

Nearly identical measurements both physically and athletically save for weight due to age difference when measured.

He looks really good offensively eye test wise but the efficiencies aren't great. I also worry about the lack of blocks+steals, and the low rebounding numbers for a 6'8" guy. A negative comparison I have heard is Jett Howard.

Odds reflect Ace and VJ in their own tier at 3/4, open race at #5

I'm catching up on the latest Noa Essengue film and my opinion has not changed. He might become the best player out of this draft, but he's currently unplayable in the NBA. He's so long and he uses his length well. It's crazy watching him swallow up guys on the perimeter. He's got the beginnings of some skill, but he still has a long ways to go before his dribbling/passing are NBA ready. The main thing that jumps off the screen when you are watching the Cashiggy videos is the he is so easily bumped off of his spots, he has such a long ways to go before he's NBA ready from a strength standpoint. Lastly his jumper needs a lot of work. I don't trust it at all at the moment.

Very very interesting player, if he adds strength and/or skill he might be a beast, but if not he is unplayable.

Unplayable? Being a bit dramatic.

I mean, most rookies are "unplayable" if you are trying to win, but I could easily see Essengue being a 10 mpg contributor on a good team with his length and energy.
