What's new

Game #9: Cavs at Jazz Tuesday 01/10/2012 7 pm MST

I love the way Ty plays with lineups which is crazy since I thought at the beginning of the year he had no idea about this. But he has to limit the minutes Kanter and Favors play together. It just kills the offense. It's all wings and both those guys can't post. I know Sap was in foul trouble, but we have to stagger Al and Sap's minutes.

I loved the way we fed Sap in the 1st. That's smart basketball. Sap is the better matchup against Jamison, he was hitting it, and we rode it. But when Sap went out, Al picked up the slack. THAT's our advantage this year. Two guys down low that we can use to gain advantage from night to night.

I'm really mystified as to why Hayward won't shoot. I'm trying to believe it's because he's young or nice or whatever, but I've never seen a guy pass that many times from right under the basket. Just shoot the freakin ball.

Favors is really concerning me. When we have Favors/Kanter on the court, he's absolute death to the offense. The dude has to pass. I can't take it anymore. It's not like there aren't benefits to having him out there, and I'm at peace with the learning curve, but pass the ball ONCE. He doesn't even like passing the ball out.

Seen him make 2 excellent feeds tonight out of the post. Kanter didnt finish on one and I believe CJ? Missed an open jumper.

Word.

I'm concerned about our rebounding. 18 offensive rebounds for the Cavs vs. our 28 defensive rebounds? Not acceptable.

Oh yeah, will Kanter ever not look retarded shooting from 2 feet? I love the kid, but he looks so ridiculously helpless trying to shoot right under the basket.

Probably my biggest concern right now. He makes Big Al look like Stockton.

The jobbing Sap gets from the refs is infuriating.

Otherwise great game. While the Jazz didn't put their foot on their throats, the Cavs never got within 4 or less in the 4th quarter. Good play.

57 fouls called in that game.

At least it was called fairly even, at 27/30. Still, that kind of officiating just completely ruins the game. I'm back on the kill David Stern bandwagon.

This game was infuriating. Throughout the entire 2nd half it seemed like the Jazz were constantly on the brink of blowing them out, but the refs were always there to halt their momentum and keep the Cavs within single digits.

I was at the game, and even though the crowd was abnormally small, the boos for the officials were some of the loudest I'd ever heard at a game.

i didnt see the game but it is not good to give up so many points to a team like Cavs. At least we could take advantage of their weakness and use the paint to grab the win, and its good to see Big Al putting up good numbers so that he will be a good asset on the market
