Yes you can, to 1 player only per team. If he meets certain criteria he`s also eligible for a higher salary, like Derrick Rose did.
Might have to offer Hayward the fifth year max if he keeps improving every year to keep him on the Jazz.
Hayward isn`t on his rookie contract anymore so that doesn`t apply to him. We can still offer him the 5th year when he expires.

Technically it`s actually a 6 year extension as those are signed after their 3rd year, which means that the team option for the 4th rookie year is automatically picked up.
Technically its only a 5 year extension because the 4th year they are already under contract.
