GSW Draft Pick Watch

Yep, and if Bogut and Curry are healthy, we're looking at a late 1st, likely a 20 something in a weaker draft. Probably a much less valuable pick. Same with our own pick. We 'd lose significant value.

And if Curry and Bogut are not healthy, we very well may be watching them tank once again, only to keep their pick.

Not only that, but we lose a year for those players fit in and gell with the team. Believe me when I say we want those picks now.

No. Even if Bogut and Curry our healthy, they aren't that good. They would still be a fringe playoff team even if they both stayed healthy the entire season.

GS is cleary tanking we can only hope Cavs will tank better,
Detroit and Sacramento don't look like tanking they really want to win their games and we need one of them to be worse than GS,
this thriller will last till the end of the season hope not in the lottery.

As of today there are 8 teams worse than GS.
Detroit and cleveland are 2.5 games back, Sacto is 3.5, Toronto is 4, NJ 4.5
NO, WA, and Charlotte should be out of reach of a GS tank. Not mathematically, but if things pan out normally because NO is next and they are 8 back.

With a little luck GS will end the season where they are, or at the 8.

The bad thing is, the rest of the way GS plays New Jersey once, NO once, and the rest of the teams have better records.
Minnesota twice, and Portland once are the best hopes of GS wins. These other teams below them better suck worse.

NO shut down their starting PG in Jack. This is what is said about the injury:

This is the first we've heard of Jack dealing with a recent ankle injury, so the news comes as a surprise. Greivis Vasquez was productive when he filled in for Jack earlier this season and will be again.

Sounds like a tank job to me.

New guys they've brought in are not getting the (tanking) message from Lacob.. they're BALLIN' big time!!

This is good to see! Up 16 pts vs Nets right now!

Just a shameful tank job by the Ws. They were up 14 with 10 mins left. In the last 2 minutes, they didn't even try to score. They just threw the ball away time and again. Charles Jenkins had a 3-pt. chuck at the end of the shot clock that went in. So naturally, they stopped shooting. If I were a Warriors fan buying tickets, I wouldn't know what to think.

Warrior lose, Kings win. Warriors are real close to that 8th spot by now.

They need the 7th spot to keep their pick. They have to tank their way through two of the following teams--Cleveland, Sacramento and Detroit--and the Warriors are 2 1/2 games behind all three teams. They're clearly throwing games as best they can after back-to-back home losses to the Hornets and Nets.

This.

Also, even if they have the 7th worst record by the end of the season there is a chance that someone could jump up in the lottery to push them back. Maybe it will be the Jazz and then Stern will have handled the tank job that we are witnessing right now.

I think they're going to have a hard time tanking through Cleveland, who has lost their last 6 games. Sacramento doesn't look like they're tanking though, obviously. Detroit is a wild card.

The chance of the Warriors dropping from 7th to 8th is only 25% as someone pointed out. Sure can't bank on that.

Look at the schedule...Warriors are "favorites" in perhaps one, but this is the team that just threw the games against New Jersey and New Orleans. The teams behind them all play each other a few times. Sacramento and Detroit should catch the W's. Even Toronto and New Jersey might. Cleveland should just based on their schedule.

This is as bad as what Cleveland did back in the days of Stepien, which led the NBA to enact the rule prohibitng the trading of first-round picks in consecutive years.

The only "bright" spot is that if Utah doesn't have a pick, perhaps KOC will be more inclined to make some trades or use the Memo TPE.
