If we are getting a guy who averages about 45% field goal, and about 40% on threes for his career while playing decent defense and has some ball handling skills, then I want that guy on our team. Re sign Hayward just below the max and I will be happy.

My biggest complaint with Hayward is or are his forced turnovers. I also don't believe he has that mental intangible that makes him clutch. Some players have and some players don't.

Is it is or are? Make up your mind.

Who's the guy who has those percentages?

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but the real factor here is Lindsey. To this point, the guy has been nothing short of a miracle worker and coming from the Spurs FO, I full expect him to keep his wits about him and make the right decision. If he lets him walk because the money is too much, I trust the decision. If he matches for what seems like too much money to us, I trust that Lindsey isn't just matching to match and that it was the prudent move at that time, knowing Hayward's figure won't really hurt us for years if at all or that he could even be moved after December for assets.

It's hard to argue against DL. His decisions have been slow and reasonable thus far. I support him completely.

Gordon Hayward was before last season. Just looked though, and hadn't realized his career numbers had dropped that much this season. He had almost 44% field goals and 37% three career averages at the end if this year though. I am sure it will show some regression to the mean this coming season and he will be closer to 40% from three. The overall average needs to get above 45% though if he will ever be worth what he is going to get paid by someone.

Who's the guy who has those percentages?

Steve Nash, BJ Armstrong, Brent Barry, Dale Ellis, Jeff Hornacek, Ray Allen, Dana Barros, Dell Curry, Hubert Davis, Steve Kerr, Mike Miller, Wesley Person, Stephen Curry, Matt Bonner, Jose Calderon, Anthony Morrow, Mark Price, Glen Rice, Trent Tucker, Craig Hodges, Patty Mills, Drazen Petrovic, etc.

Jazz will match everything short of a max contract. He will get 12-13 M because the cap is going up. If we don't want him we will get something decent in a sign and trade. My guess is gtime has about an 80% chance of returning. We won't let him walk for nothing.

Rodney hood is probably not going to have a better career than Hayward, and the only way he will be a better "pick" than exum is if he becomes at least an all star. This is only because of his draft position, and not expecting a starter at the 23rd pick. If he turns out to be a starter, we will have made a great pick. I will be happy if he contributes though. That is enough from the 23rd pick.

I am stoked on exum though. He is going to be a superstar. We had a great draft.

Getting more excited about the draft. What if we just drafted a love child of steph curry and russell Westbrook, along with tayshaun prince in the same draft?

Burks at $8 million >>>> Hayward at $12 million. Hard to even argue that Burks isn't > than Hayward anyway tbh.
