I swear, this talk of Hayward only being 3rd option on a contender will never end.
It will when we win a championship

So you didn't watch any Jazz basketball last year?Hayward's torn?? Wah, I've been torn with my jazz fandom ever since KOC drafted Hayward. I have a really hard time drinking the Hayward hype-propaganda. He's good, sure. He's maybe a second best player on a competitive team, but probably more of a third best. Jazz have won games without him and lost some with him. He doesnt really move the meter one way or the other. He's not a go-to scorer when we need it. Jazz should reserve the big $ for a player who can be clutch when we need it. We might not have said player on the team yet, but that's no reason to surrender the keys to Hayward.
All I can say is I'm so glad Gobert is on this team or my fandom would be plunged into total despondency.
Sorry to interrupt the bellyaching. Carry on. #goawayward

Gobert, Bradley, Favors, JJ, Bolomboy
Sounds like a win win
Me exactly.Remember Hayward's contract year?
"Can he earn the max"
"Is he worth it?"
"This is a very important year for him"
He improved his numbers as usual but taking over as the lead man seemed to show some of his weaknesses. He had some really bad games. I still remember listening to his 0-12 or whatever performance while at work.
Offseason comes around, it felt like a near 50-50 split on here
"You want to give THIS dude a max contract"
"He could never be the best player on a good team, hell i'm not sure if he would be the second or third"
I liked Hayward as a player. I did not feel he had earned the max with his play that season. When he signed with Charlotte I said "I'll miss you Hayward, but we can't match that. We can't put the future of the franchise in your hands, not good enough."
We matched and he's been a stud and gotten better every year. I've accepted how wrong I was. Everyone must follow suit.
