What's new

Hayward

Can this be the thread we finally put this to bed? The season after him is complete. It’s time to forget about him. We literally have the best kid in the NBA who is also one of the most talented. Donovan has potential to be an MVP and a #1 offensive option on a contender. We are fine. We do not miss him, and we never really will, because Donovan showed us love when we needed it and healed all wounds from last offseason.

It’s time that Hayward leaves every Jazz fans minds. It’s time to forget about last offseason. It’s time to love what we have, because we have a lot. We have a group of great guys, who play for each other and play hard every night. We don’t have a guy with the attitude of “you’re lucky I’m here” we have guys and even a super star that laments the fact “I’m happy I’m here”. We can move on from Hayward.

.....I think there is still one last page to that book however, before any of us can truly move on....and that’s to be the disrespectful, vulgar, loud, booing, annoying fanbase we are when he steps foot on the Jazz floor in green next season.

You know DM will have it marked and will be head hunting... you know Rudy gonna throw his ****.

That is the final chapter... I’m ready to move on.

It's like when you are hung up on someone, and once you break up you feel dead inside. After a time apart you recover, come back stronger, find a better partner,
and feel on top of the world.

We don't miss him specifically now. We needed him gone for Mitchell to develop and become the player he is.

Now we need a player like Hayward or better to join us to get to the next level. But definitely not Hayward himself.

We really need another player that can create, shoot well and play defense.

No. I'm happy he left. With him out of the way a true star/alpha named Donovan Mitchell stepped in and took over without Haywood being in his way. And because we avoided Haywoods massive contract we have financial flexibility to build this team around Donovan and Rudy. It worked out well. And it's going to be oh so sweet when we win a title. Hopefully Haywood never does win a title and he has to watch us celebrate. That would be even sweeter.

The Gordon Hayward era marks one of the darkest stretches in this franchise's history and that's not me being bitter. ****'s a fact.

Let's leave that **** where it belongs: in the history books.
This is actually so true. And just for one night next season we will get a bit of revenge. I expect him to be booed from warm ups to the last time he touches the ball and heckled more than any player ever has been here. We don’t need to talk about it anymore....but we do need that one night to finally put the stamp on the last page of that book that emphatically says THE END.

Maybe. I personally think it would be awesome if the place was like a funeral whenever he touched the ball.

So your saying that Gordon could not have adjusted to play with Mitchell and they could not co-exist under any circumstances?

Lol. I told these Hayward nut huggers for years he was EXPENDABLE. I always hated the Joe Johnson, Boris Diaw and George Hill moves, still do, they lacked vision.

The sad and sobering reality of this years run is they couldve been even more prepared for a playoff push had they not set up the roster to appease Hayward and his camp last szn.. Jazz thew good assets at a bad cause, thats called a sunk cost fallacy.

Utah's in much better hands out west being led by a guard SF means matchups with kahwi, who we all know obliterates hay, and KD and Paul George. This is also beneficial to Ingles.

Alright, let's not kid ourselves. Good players playing with other good players do nothing but compliment each other.

The only "in the way" discussion to be had is when it comes to stat lines and the moronic MVP discussion. LeBron is still clearly the best player on the planet and KD number 2. But KD won't win it because Harden "deserves one" despite the fact that GSW is about to plow through him.

BTW, QS just exposed their weakness with his purely drive and dish offense. Imagine a superstar team doing it. By by Hoostan.
