The very first comment in this thread stated "but climate change isn't real, right?". Well, one third of Americans believe global warming is a hoax, and plenty of non Americans probably agree, but I don't know the % overall in the developed world who think it's a hoax.
But if 1/3 of Americans believe global warming is a hoax, how does this thread develop without hearing opinions dissing global warming and in particular global warming caused by human activity?
I think it's the subject matter of the threads. Any thread that involves highly divisive issues are going to hear both sides. And one side is promulgating fake news and phony narratives to bolster its positions on those divisive issues. Which are bound to seem troll like to people more interested in what the truth of the matter is on any given issue.
When Sean Spicer walked into the briefing room and told the assembled reporters that Trump's inauguration crowd was the largest in history, was he not in fact trolling the entire room? This administration has been trolling the American public from day one.
The GD section will be like a microcosm of America when the subject matter of the thread involve issues and people dividing Americans. Trump, and that percentage of his base that amounts to a cult of personality, have weaponized fake news and spew it wherever and whenever they can. In that respect, from that point of view, they are all trolls.
