If you could bring back any former Jazz player

Is there any question it wouldn't be Lewis Scott?

How about the body of AK but the heart and toughness of Thabo? Now there's a player.

I think Quin and AK would have been a great fit. AK and Jerry was rough. I think AK had heart but needed a different kind of motivator and more flexible playing style... I'm sad how AK's career played out. He'd be so good in today's NBA.

Current player to bring back is Gordon Hayward and you lying if you think Millsap would make us better.

Former player would be prime D-Will. DM and D-Will creating and running continuous PnRs with Rudy and Favs. It would be lit AF.

I can't comment on the old school guys like Pistol Pete cuz the game is so different now.

Imagine we had year 7 Donovan Mitchell right now. I reckon that makes us contenders.

Also, if we had 12 year Joe Ingles... I assume his development curve continues and he is winning his 2nd or 3rd mvp right about then.

I am shocked at the lack of two obvious players:

1) Gordon Hayward
2) Hornacek

Gordon would take the team to another level, and Hornacek would kill it in this offense!

Just no to Gordon Hayward, and I’m not even talking in hindsight. I never liked his attitude and I think it effects group chemistry in a negative way.

I'll take some fringe players and make a super-star:

1. Joel Bolomboy's body and rebounding.
2. Trevor Booker's heart and tenacity.
3. Tibor Pleiss' unreal shooting mechanics.
4. Udoh's defensive prowess.
5. Jarron Collins' ability to get minutes.
6. CJ Miles' three point volume.
7. Jerebko's three point percentage.
8. DeMarre Carroll's dreads.
9. Jose Ortiz's accent.
10. JLIII's initials.
11. Niang's contract.
12. Trey Lyles' balance.
13. Grayson's hand pads.
14. John Amaechi's perceived intelligence.
15. Hoffa's strength and willingness to get nasty and lay down a flagrant (or two).
16. Fesenko's standing reach.
17. Larry Miller's willingness to get into a scuffle with opposing fans.
18. Ben Handlogten's feel-good story.
19. Keith Mcleod's high school coach.
20. Steve Novak's long-ball.
21. Naz Long's per-36 scoring ability.
22. Thurl Bailey's goggles.
23. Boris Diaw's passing, vision, and charm.

Pretty sure that guy takes us over the top.

In that video Bill Walton said that they went back and looked at the game stats and calculated that if there were a 3-pt line in college basketball Maravich would have averaged 57 PPG. On 13 3PT makes per game. As it was he averaged 44 PPG at LSU.

Maybe a few more off-court attributes...

24. AK47's tattoo.
25. Trey Burke's social media savvy.
26. Oldyn Polynice's badge.
27. Jerry Sloan's nose.
28. AB's wardrobe.

Those two were literally on the list at one point (though worded a bit different / different premise but same idea).

Current - Millsap without a doubt. The compliments everybody.

Past - Pistol and it's not close. An offensive weapon like that added to the defensive team we have would be title worthy.

Prime AK47 of course. Imagine him at 4 and Gobert defending the paint. Now that would be true Swat Lake City.

This. We could finally play AK at the 4. Our defense would take another leap, and he can score and pass like a mother-hugger.
