Jazz moving up in the draft?

You are not alone. While McCollum looks like a sure thing, Trey still could be the better PG.
If the Jazz believe Burke is there guy they need to go out, and get him.

I do like Burke more than McCollum. I think he brings leadership and just a positive influence to the whole team.

Elephant in the room...

Jazz could just be making a PR move so that when they draft 2 backups they can tell fans, "well shucks guys. We tried to move up! It just wasn't in the cards!"

We have heard every draft that we are "aggressively" looking to move up. Every season we hear we are "aggressively" looking for ways to improve the team. Hasn't happened.

Besides, what else are the jazz supposed to say? We are sitting on our asses right now?

14 + 21 = 10

14 + 21 + 46 = 9 + 26

14 + 21 = 9 + 26 + bad contract (Ridnour, not all that bad)

Burks + 21 = 8 or 9

Burks + 21 = 7 + bad contract (maybe Outlaw)

Targets: Bennett, Burke, McCollum, Shabazz... Porter ?

Since when did this draft become one where anyone wanted to move up?

Like many others have already stated, why are we supposedly doing this? Is Bazz, Burke, or CJ really worth trading up for? At what cost? Isn't this the draft that you don't want to be in the top 10?

Top 6 .. because the talent should be much better than what's available.

After that, it's not a bad draft.

That's fine. But unlike many posters here, if we crack the top 10 I'd be more inclined to draft big than to draft a guy like Burke or CJ.

If there's a guy the Jazz want, and they have the means to trade up to get him, they will. This describes any draft.

That said, I think that the most valuable player in our range is actually Steven Adams.

Makes sense. Some of us, myself included, have fallen in love with the idea of drafting a PG.
When it's all said, and done this might not have been the best draft to do that in. Drafting on need
could be a huge mistake.

Are you thinking more Noel or Adams?
