No offense to Donovan Mitchell, but the fact that his name is being brought up in the national “MVP” conversation, but Rudy’s name is not, is a joke. Clearly these people either hold a personal grudge against Rudy,or they simply don’t understand basketball. Without Rudy, the Jazz would be the Charlotte Hornets, about .500.

It’s not about Rudy or Mitchell or respect to Rudy, or the lack there of. No one cares about the jazz outside of Utah and the scattered jazz fans around the country and the rest of the world. If box scores were the be all end all then yes I agree with the national guys, but it’s not. No one but us and maybe a few other people understand Gobert’s value, including @White Chocolate apparently

Really the national discussion is about hype and popularity. Nothing really to do with basketball.

Of the 146 players in the league that have logged at least 1,000 minutes, 14 have a net rating differential of at least 10 points – meaning their team’s point differential per 100 possession is at least 10 points better when the player is on the court compared to when they are off. The list features a mix of Kia MVP candidates and key role players that impact the game on both ends of the court. Portland’s Robert Covington ranks sixth on the list (12.3), while Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo is tied for 12th (10.2).

  • Rudy Gobert (UTA): 17.4
  • Patty Mills (SAS): 15.5
  • Mike Conley (UTA): 15.0
  • LeBron James (LAL): 13.7
  • Fred VanVleet (TOR): 12.6
  • Robert Covington (POR): 12.3
  • Joel Embiid (PHI): 11.9
  • Thaddeus Young (CHI): 11.8
  • Paul George (LAC): 11.5
  • Jamal Murray (DEN): 11.3
  • Jimmy Butler (MIA): 10.4
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL): 10.2
  • Nikola Jokic (DEN): 10.2
  • Garrett Temple (CHI): 10.2

Duh guys. ****ing duh

Well I prefer to win more. The part of me that wants to shut you up from saying stupid things wants to see Gobert miss a week so you and anyone who thinks like you would see how valuable Gobert is to the jazz.
we will win enough games to make it to the playoffs every year with Gobert. But to ultimately win a champ we'll need Mitchell.

Rudy ftw

Can't believe they just let Ingles shoot. He's like a magicians, misdirection and confusion and drain the open 3. Maybe he could be the MVP.

Depends on what team he's on. Like funneling everything to Gobert isn't the only winning strategy in basketball. Many options out there.
Do any of those other options include a defensive upgrade for every player, if not the jazz would have to average 130pts at the very least, and the jazz are better offensively with Gobert on the floor, so can we include an offensive upgrade for everyone?
