What's new

Jazz @ Wizards, 2/26, 3pm MT (5pm ET for me)...

Any guesses as to what fn stands for?

'fun'?

Concerns from the game - our bench was trash, except for a couple of moments from JJ and Diaw, but Snyder adjusted by playing our starters for long stretches. Hope that doesn't come back to bite us against OKC, but everyone should still be fresh from the All-Star break.

We also fell apart late in the 3rd quarter and let our 24-point cushion be cut in half by the end of the quarter, then be halved again to 6 with two minutes left. Hayward restored our double-figure lead with two unanswered buckets around a Wall turnover, but we then bumbled our way through the final minute or so, turning it over twice and failing to score a field goal, amongst other misdemeanours. We couldn't even execute when they waved the white flag and brought in the scrubs - who knew inbounding the ball was such a difficult thing?

The teams able to pay Hill though means he would spend the rest his career on a non playoff team. Is that how Hill wants to go out? Only exception would be if SA can clear space for him.

they can, and he has a home there.

Legend has it that if you look Russell in the eyes, he will grant you some extra athleticism

Think it's pretty much impossible to keep a team like the Wizards from being able to make a run at home, it's just inevitable.

did he get ejected? or just fouled out?

becuase if your fouled out you are allowed to stay on the bench
He was ejected.

Correcting some other replies - a Flagrant is not equivalent to a Tech. A Flagrant-1 counts as a personal foul and the penalty is two shots and possession. A Tech does not count as a personal foul and the penalty is one free throw.

In the same way you are ejected for two techs, you are also ejected for two Flagrant-1s, but you can have one of each.

I believe his tech and ejection was for not throwing the ball to the official and it ended up hitting someone in the front row. This constitutes "throwing the ball into the stands" and is covered by an explicit rule (in this case, the second sentence):

Rule 10 said:
Any player who throws or kicks the ball directly into the stands with force, regardless of the reason or where it lands, will be assessed a technical foul and ejected. All other instances where the ball ends up in the stands will subject the player to a possible technical foul and ejection.

I admit I too was one that questioned if he's worth the max. But time and time again he has proven me wrong. Pay the dude already. (As I once again eat crow)
