Kemba Walker

No but I think the argument that Exum hasn’t been given a fair shake and Donovan was given the keys immediately and gratuitously is fairly black and white thinking.

i think it's purely circumstantial. I can't see even if we got Kemba that they wouldn't give Dante plenty of run

That wasnt my argument.

DM took his opportunity with both hands (and chocked the **** out of it).

Exum obviously wasnt ready his first year for a lot of reasons but its been obvious to most the short leash hes had since. Shelvin Mack? Are you serious? Minus a few games at the end of last year we are yet to see a confident Dante.

Im all in on the draft pick this year and evaluating our talent. That includes Exum. I hope the FO sees it that way and let him play with the pressure of winning removed. I just see it as a win win. Let Dante play, if it works AWESOME, if not then we still have a top 10 pick. And answers.

I’m probably with you on most of that and I’m probably responding to an amalgam of a handful of posters who (for a while, at least) seemed to resent Donovan. I think Mack was ridiculous and I think the fact that Dante was often the only one energizing and bringing it in the GSW series, coupled with continuing to run with Mack, was atrocious.

Its definitely a mark against Quins name imo. Everygame that series we were down 30 by the 1st and he refused to change ANYTHING! A little like the Rubio/Favs/Gobert lineup he refuses to move away from.

Can we agree this year is a wash?

If so, when Exum is back I want to see him and DM take 80% of our shots every game. I dont care if X goes 4-30, its the experience they are gaining and hopefully we see improvement game after game.

Absolutely no interest in Kemba. Utah has the PG spot covered, and shouldn't be sending out value or taking on bad money for short term improvement where we don't need it.

For sure last year (and I think his rookie year) if Exum had a game like Mitchell did tonight he would have been yanked after a couple TO's. Donovan has earned more respect with his play, but I think he had it even at the beginning of the season. That being said Mitchell and Exum are not really comparable as Mitchell is much farther along (and quite a bit older than rookie Exum was) than Exum was. I just want Exum to be unleashed and to let him make mistakes as long as he's being aggressive. Exum needs all the support he can get after what happened last year when he made mistakes.
