People pay waaaayyyyy to much attention to Mitchells height. He plays much taller than his listed height due to his very long reach and athleticism. He can play the 2 position very well.

I also think people are underestimating Kemba. He is a very very good PG. Him and Mitchell would be an incredible combo. If the price was right its a no brainer.

I am very high on Exum but he is not a reason to not make a move for Kemba.

I think Exum still has all-star level talent and I think the FO and coaching staff thinks he does to. Kemba is already an all-star level player. Kemba-Mitchell-Gobert is your 3 headed all-star lineup. If you could get Kemba and keep Exum as well you could keep developing him. Pick up a solid 4 and look for an upgrade at the 3 and you have a team that can compete. Ill take Kemba-Mitchell over the next 5 years over a declining CP3 and mr no defense Harden any day. Ill also take that combo over Portlands duo. Kemba and Mitchell play both ways.

He got up to 40% last year, he is at 34 this year. Two years ago he was at 37. Kemba's stats are only really relevant for the past 3 years, kind of like Hayward.

According to NBA.com though Kemba is pretty good at catch and shoot 3's. Shooting 40% this year, and 46% last year. Two years ago he was 44% on catch and shoot 3's.

so he's prob something like 37-38 % ? I'm warming to this idea .. if we could somehow swap Ricky for this dude ...
 
I like Kemba but I can't help but think having him and Donovan in the backcourt limits the ceiling of the team. I think I'd rather have either Exum blossom into a lanky defensive stopping PG who is a good offensive player (e.g. he hits his ceiling and fits well), or just have Mitchell morph into a PG and bring in a more prototypical 2 guard. I won't hat e it if they somehow trade for him depending on the return, but I don't think this is the move that will lead to contention.
 
So is there a way that Kemba and Favors go to Cleveland, Hood and expirings go to Charlotte, and we end up with the Brooklyn 1st pick?

Kemba is the best player in the deal and they will end up with the Brooklyn 1st unless we agree to take Batum and Marvin.

I guess they would hold on to Brooklyn 1st and decide to keep Batum rather than getting a lesser pick and sending Batum away.
 
Exum isnt far off hopefully and needs the chance to just play, the same opportunity that DM got and being allowed to play through his mistakes (and hopefully pick up somes Ls along the way).

Ill be pissed if we get Kemba and Exum is put back in the same position as last year or even if we upgrade the roster. I dont want Exum coming back while we are making some ****** attempt at a playoff push. I want him to make mistakes, as many as he needs to. I want to see him play with freedom!

Even if we said the comparison of Exum and Mitchell is apples to apples, you’d have to acknowledge that Exum played 22 MPG and started in 41 games when he was 2 years younger than Donovan currently is.

No but I think the argument that Exum hasn’t been given a fair shake and Donovan was given the keys immediately and gratuitously is fairly black and white thinking.
