Cousins and AD both have insane usage rates. They are going to have to change their games.
Cousins is becoming a really good passer this season, AD is a very good shooter, they should work in theory.

The word was Cousins isn't gonna resign with anyone and will test the waters..
Nope. This was a terrible trade for the Kings. That team sucks because of bad management, not because of Cousins. If they wanted to improve the franchise, should have traded their owner and kept boogie. Dude is going to be a beast when he's on a winning team and all the head case talk will prove to have been overblown.
When all is said and done, there won't be a GM in this league that doesn't wish they would have taken this gamble. It is a gamble to re-sign him though, which is why I believe they had to sell so low. If they can't re-sign him, this will have been a bad move.
Cousins is a good shooter, too, for someone his size. He's shooting 35% from 3 on 5 attempts per game.Cousins is becoming a really good passer this season, AD is a very good shooter, they should work in theory.

Cousins must really be toxic to get moved for that package. The Pels are obviously banking on re-signing him.

That's really the thing that makes this all having a chance at working. If they can develop a Gasol/Randolph like chemistry it could be special, but I don't think they can. They will face too much early adversity in a stacked conference and Boogie will crumble.
Wouldn't be surprised if they are a more consistent team without him.
