This is awesome! I've been making loans via Kiva for several years now. It's a program where people (like me) can help fund loans for people typically in third-world countries. I think of it basically as a donation, except you get the money back when they repay the loan (which most do). As a promotion for new members, it looks like they are currently giving away $25 loan gift certificates. Here's a link:

I think you get to keep the $25 if you don't want to re-loan the money after the person you loan to repays the loan. But hopefully you'll feel it rewarding enough that you'll want to re-loan the money--that's what I've been doing, reloaning the repaid money, and adding in new loans when I can.
