Doesn't she already have a better job?Get someone like Abby Hornacek who knows basketball, plays basketball and has Jazz connection. She'd be a solid upgrade over KK. But the Jazz will probably just bring Brown back.
Not sure. Hasn't been following. What's her current job?Doesn't she already have a better job?
It's not a career it's a side hustle like being a Jazz dancer. You use it to further yourself toward what you really want to do. All of the other people involved in the broadcast have other sources of income. She always seemed to love the spotlight of the job
She won't get that any where else
Makes me wonder what happened to end her career

God I hope this means we are getting rid of sportsnet. If Smith cuts AT&T out and gets a competent and more accessible broadcasting partner...I'll be happy. I'll make a Is Ryan Smith God thread or I don't know what do for a guy worth 2 billion dollars. She wasn’t a Jazz employee, she is an employee of AT&T sportsnet, whose deal with Jazz ended and won’t be getting renewed.
That's what I found on Reddit anyway.
Steve Brown is a good guy who's in end-stage kidney failure. I used to laugh at some of his calls, but the dude has been tied to pretty much everything sports related for me since I was a child (Jazz games and also doing Utah football and basketball games).Steve Brown. Good lord, please don’t remind me about that guy.
He’s like a CPR training dummy who is allowed to walk, talk, and visit restaurants.
Sucks about his kidney failure.Steve Brown is a good guy who's in end-stage kidney failure. I used to laugh at some of his calls, but the dude has been tied to pretty much everything sports related for me since I was a child (Jazz games and also doing Utah football and basketball games).
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if a woman of color gets the job. That seems like a smart move to me.
Maybe the in-arena hype lady is due for a promotion? She seems rad.Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if a woman of color gets the job. That seems like a smart move to me.
Locke is a good stat guy and does bring up some valid points (I remember, shortly after he returned to the SLC market from Seattle I think, so many years ago but before he was the Jazz' radio guy, and he was going off on how it was mathematically smart for teams to take way more threes than they were taking at the time, and I think he was shown to be right). But I can't do his voice. It's not for game calling. It's too nasally. It's too whiney. It's just not a good voice for broadcasting play-by-play.KK was a lot cuter than Steve Brown. Her outfits definitely brought a new color to "color commentator".
I will miss KK even if she wasn't the smartest cookie in the cabbage patch.
She is 1,000,000,000,000 times better than Locke. (Brace yourselves for all of the Locke apologists.

She’s good at her job. That’s what I was referring to.Please no.. She is hot but I can't stand her voice, it's like Janice from Friends.
