Nope. Harrell is a glorified version of Ed Davis. More of a 4, not much of a 5. His lack of size'd be disastrous on defense/rebounding if he is to serve as Rudy’a backup. But to play as a 4 he also lacks the necessary shooting. Crowder/Favors are both better fit than him. But the best fit would have been Jerami grant, who is now basically ungettable because of the trade for you-know-whoI'm not talking about Crowder (a SF/PF) or Favors, I'm asking about the fit of Harrell. Does he or doesn't he?

Thats why I said he's more of a “glorified” version. He hustles a bit sure. But he is a career sub who can't operate as an anchor down the paint like Rudy. He can operate as a 5 only if your forwards feature elite rebounders like Gallo, Jamychal Green, Kawhi or George who could share the load. If you put him in Ed’s place, he'd have collapsed in the same way.I agree about Jerami Grant. He would have been perfect. I would be shocked if Denver let him go. He'll decline his player option and extend with Denver to something more than MLE.
As for Harrell, he doesn't compare to Ed Davis at all. Ed Davis has never averaged more than 9.7ppg. Harrell averaged 18.6ppg this year off the bench. Ed Davis is a rebounder and hustle guy. Harrell is better at both. Harrell can't spread the floor, but he can guard SF, PF and C. I don't think Harrell fits great next to Rudy, but the guy can play.
If we solve our forward issue, our backup 5 problem would have been solved on its own. We are basically playing guys who can't even outrebound the guards at our forward spot right now.I agree about Jerami Grant. He would have been perfect. I would be shocked if Denver let him go. Why would Grant want to leave a team that is going to be competing for Chips for the next ten years? Harrell is a racist. I doubt his Shitkk would fly in Utah where most the population is white. He should of been suspended from playoffs anyways. Also everytime the man makes a shot he celebrates like he hit a game winner. Man even the nuggets, who have built their team the right way, through the draft makes the proper trades. Grant was a trade. A trade utah could of done but they didn't. His defense on Leonard was beautiful last series. Now how well he defends lebron next series will tell us how much money he going getI agree about Jerami Grant. He would have been perfect.
