Netflix recs?

It gets a 6.6 on IMDb, which is historically FAR more accurate. RT is known to inflate their scores.
Accurate? Arent they both just aggregate #'s from users?

The internet is just full of people who review bomb stuff nowadays so I dont even bother to look at aggregate numbers.

If ONELOVE likes it its probably complete **** with heavy Epstein undertones. I've never heard of it, looks an ok cast, mostly Aussie TV actors, I watched a brief clip, poor Catherine McClements has aged about as well as a salamander left out in the sun. Damien Garvey is one of the finest comedic actors in the country. I really recommend two of his shows, firstly the Australian version of Rake (important note, the Australian version not the very disappointing US version.) , where he plays a corrupt NSW politician come media figure and Jack Irish where he plays an idiotic pub owner. If you can find them on US Netflix I highly recommend them. Both are currently available on Australian Netflix.

Wiki says it was shot in Hobart and at Melbourne's dockland studios (I believe they may have just been bought by Disney), Its interesting to see stuff getting made in Tassie, a mate worked for a small animation studio down there for a couple of years, seems like they're making a push for more stuff in that arts space. Good luck to them.

Watch RAKE!!!

If it wasn't for the Wire this would be my favourite show ever.

Idk about imbd but rotten tomatoes provides 2 different scores
One is from professional critics and one is from anyone who has seen the show/movie

People using RT absolutely baffle me. It’s the dumbest scoring criteria possible and eliminates any sense of accuracy. RT is known to inflate their scores.

Two things…one calling a movie simply good or bad is not going to lead to anything resembling an accurate indication of how good the film is or isn’t. Add in the fact that it’s pretty much been proven that RT has had manipulations of reviews and therefore scores for some films and it leads to what I’m talking about. Think Longlegs last summer which had like a 98% after a few days or week in the theater but worse and more obvious. And that movie is ****ing horrendous.

Finished Season 3 of Squid Games.

I really liked the series. Ive seen a lot of negative reviews of Season 2/3, but I like them just as much as season 1.
Seasons 2 and 3 just didn't progress the show any further.

I get trying to come to a sensible resolution, but it was a yawn fest right til the end.

No great twists unlike season 1.

They could have done much more with it imo.

I watched season 2 of Squid Game and thought that was it. I'm actually not super interested in watching season 3. I probably will, but my expectation is in the dirt.

Yeah it didn’t get much better..

It’s a pity really .. so much more they could have done with the concept.
