Netflix recs?

Watched Super Dark Times today. Really solid indie flick in the vein of River’s Edge, Mean Creek, and Bully. To lift off of someone online, it’s a bit Stand By Me meets Donnie Darko. Ish.

It could’ve been better. I think some of the development felt rushed or at least was not hashed out nearly as well as it could have been from about the 30-40 minute mark on. I also think in a few key scenes the actors just couldn’t quite bring home the emotion needed. They’re fine. Arguably good. Just not great. Which is a shame because with some rewrites and slightly better performances this could have been an amazing film.

One of the better netflix shows I've in recent memory is Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure. So many twists and turns and you don't really know how things are going to work it. Highly recommended!

Eden Lake: Fassbender, O’Connell, Vaughn’s gf in season 2 of TD

Solid British flick about teens (led by JOC) who terrorize a couple. O’Connell really is great in it.
