What's new

Non jazz 2019 playoff discussion.

Milwaukee are good. But they won't be THIS good without Brook Lopez.

It's hard togauge this series cuz Detriot honestly is hands-down the worst team in the playoffs, they don't look like they belong.. there's no way u can convince me that is actually one of the 16 best teams in the league with the chance to win a 1st rd series, no way. they are doormats. placeholders, this is basically just a tune-up fight for Milwaukee. Detroit is a roster/team in flux so limping into the offs isn't the worst look tho. Their biggest win was getting Van Gundy out.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen, us and Detroit have appeared to be the most overmatched teams this playoff.

I’ve watched at least one game from each series and it’s pretty noticeable the difference in skill and athleticism between Detroit and us and the rest. Both Portland and Denver have surprisingly looked much better. Portland especially.

Their gm didn’t sit on his *** with the same roster year after year.

Steph Curry having the worst game of his life right now

Scott Foster with yet another crooked foul. Took away 3 points in 1 obvious call.

Kanter just blocked westbrook bad at the rim!!!! Blazers with an 11-0 run in the final minute of the half. this is one of the best 1st rd matchups for sure.

At least we aren't OKC paying a zillion dollars to get smoked by a shorthanded Portland

OKC once had KD, Westbrook, and Harden all on the same team. Lol. Their fans should be used to disappointment.

What if they had dumped Westbrook and focused instead on keeping harden and KD happy? How many championships would they have by now?

You forgot they also had Olidipo and Kanter too. It has cost OKC plenty to keep Westbrook 'happy '.

What little i know of KD I suspect neither okc nor any other team will ever keep him happy.

If Portland goes to WCF with Kanter starting and playing big minutes.....

Do Jazz and okc do a face palm?
Is Portland stuck paying him big bucks?

I actually want to watch Kanter go up against Houston or GS. He could feast inside.

I brought this up with some guys at the gym the other day. What if..... OKC traded Russell and PG to the Lakers for a record haul

Think about it - Westbrook has done nothing for OKC on his own. Despite all the triple doubles, Adams being a beast, PG playing really well, and everybody staying healthy, they can't win a series or be a home playoff team. If either guy ever left OKC, it would probably be for LA.

Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, Hart, and 4 1st round picks for those two

Would you do it if you were OKC? I think LA would do it for sure. They are that desperate.

The Lakers are dumb enough to do that trade for 1 of them.... and if I was the gm of OKC, it would be westbrook.

Yep. The Lakers have to do something and if the Thunder crash out of the playoffs again, the grumbles will begin. If OKC were to fail to reach the 2nd round next year, I think they would be begging for a trade opportunity like the one I'm throwing out there. The more the years go by, the less value Russell and PG will have if they can't work together to go anywhere.

Most OKC fans would riot at the idea of trading those two. However, if I was an OKC fan, I demand the biggest pick haul in NBA history and build around Adams, Kuzma and a boatload of picks. I would probably trade Ingram for value somewhere else and maybe Ball too.
