What's new

Now that its all star break, What changes would you make on the Utah Jazz?

As dumb as we think Corbin is.... He did see how Memo improved and made our offense better. If Kanter can be a good three point shooter, then even for him it should make too much sence, and don't forget he has Sloan advising him. I'm sure Ty respects and listens to him.

Example B: Paul Millsap.

Did you know Millsap has taken more threes in Atlanta then his whole career in utah. I feel like Corbin is trying to be too much like sloan...

Wow, did not know that
Pretty amazing

He did an interview during All-Star weekend that asked if he was being used better in Atlanta. He said something along the lines that he wouldn't say used "better" but he would say he was being allowed to show everything he could do.

His PPS (point per shot) is still around the same it has been his whole career, so he hasn't really experienced too much of an uptick in scoring efficiency, mainly because his FG% has dropped a decent amount to a career low.

This is the Sloan argument about shooting higher percentage shots.

Considering that he's always been an efficient scorer, you could say that getting more shots is being used better. Also, the improvements to a team's ability to score doesn't come primarily from the extra points on a big's three pointer, it comes with the extra spacing that everyone gets.

Whether the old-timers want to believe it or not, the 3-pointer is here to stay, and bigs shooting it is going to become even more commonplace for the extra spacing that provides.
