Off-Season Moves after Hayward saga

Whether we all agree with matching the offer sheet for Gordon Hayward, all signs point to the Jazz matching it.

What moves do YOU want the Jazz to make with the remaining 8.4mil (15mil if non-guaranteed contracts are not signed)

The starting line up is in place
Burke (Clark?)
Burks (Exum)
Hayward (Hood)
Favors (Novak)
Kanter (Gobert)

Fill out the rest of the roster!
 
We won't have any money left after the Hayward signing - that's the whole point (taking into account what we'll have to pay Burks and Kanter later on)
 
Take on an expiring vet or two who won't expect many, if any, minutes in our rotation, from some team looking to dump salary. In doing so, we should look to try to get a future 1st or multiple 2nds back. These assets and some vet leadership (without taking away from our youths playing time) may be the way to go imo. The problem is, we then lack the financial flexibility needed to possibly get better assets at a deadline deal as part of a three team trade where the other two teams need someone like us to take on the dead weight.

Im guessing 9 million per year will be offered to him this off season...... and after what he just saw hayward get offered he will decline and hope to have a great year and get more
 
I'd trade Jeremy Evans to Houston for Lin and Jones. Then resign Hayward (ideally, I'd let Hayward walk and resign Marvin instead). That gives me:

Burke, Exum, Lin
Burks, Exum
Marvin/Hayward, Hood
Kanter, Jones
Favors, Gobert
 
Id trade a 2016 2nd rounder for Jarnell Stokes.. oh wait. nvm. :cool:

I dont see how Erik Murphy makes the team, hes redundant with Novak.

I'd definitely take Malcolm Thomas aboard, if the Jazz dont go after a defensive minded Forward.

I personally wouldnt take Ian Clark, he doesnt impress me tbh, looks like hes 6'1 and i havent ever been wow'ed by his shooting.

I like to gamble on low risk high reward players, (especially if you dont bring back Malcolm Thomas) theres a spot for Michael Beasley, hes big can play SF, shoots well from 3, rebounds his position well, is only 25, and will cost pennies on the dollar.

Theres a bunch of players from the SL that look ready for the NBA, one who ive particularly enjoyed watching is Tyler Honeycutt, hes 6'8 and skinny but he appears to be much more polished/under-control these days, a SF that can hit 3's and do some other things, hes plenty athletic too.

Theres a dude named Ronald Roberts Jr. on Philly's SL team that id sign, hes 6'8 with a 7'1 wingspan, 210 lbs but strong, and hes Freakishly athletic, definitely worth getting on that D-League affiliate.

Of the available FA's id look at taking fliers on; (in no order)

Trevor Ariza, Al Farouq Aminu, Michael Beasley, Alan Anderson, Anthony Morrow, Kent Bazemore, James Anderson, Francisco Garcia, Jerryd Bayless, Brian Roberts, Shelvin Mack(R), Ed Davis, Andray Blatche, Jordan Hill, Mike Scott, Trevor Booker, Ekpe Udoh, Jeremy Tyler and of course, Ante Tomic.
 
According to David Locke...

Believe my math is correct here after Jazz match Hayward they can still take on 8.7 million. Before they sign Hayward have around 15 M
