Passer or scorer? It depends. Is this going to be Haywards team or Burks team? If it is Hayward's you better get the scorer. If it is Burks team adding another volume possesion user will only create problems and keep the ball from ever reaching the two #3 pick post players.

Hmm the question becomes at what point do we consider trading Burks to move up and draft Rivers- if we are convinced he is the Man?

Don't get me wrong I would rather have both. But this is going to be tricky.

Huh? Trade up to get Rivers? Have you looked at any mocks?

What about Tony Wroten Jr.? He is the only PG that I seem to get in the lotto game. 6-5 and says his passing, penetrating and court vision are his strengths. Anyone know anything about him?

A big fat pass, please. I've watched him for three years now (since junior in HS) and he hasn't gotten one bit better in that time. His shooting is abysmal (22% from 3 and 54% from FT line), his decision making is poor. His passing is flashy and exciting but he averages more TO's than assists. He's behind Marshall, Teague, and Kabongo, at least.

He does score, though .. he's a SG, with a bad shot, trying to be a PG.

Can't we get both Rivers and Marshall, I don't want to draft Rivers to be our pg. Draft Rivers as the sg then later draft Marshall as our pg. What the hell let's be greedy and get both. Is this a realistic and obtainable?

Yeah that sounds bad. Wonder why he is so high on the draft board then? If this is the case (and you would know far better than I) I hope the Jazz avoid him.

Also I wanted a pass first PG but if this is the team the Jazz are building off of then I want a PG that can choot. So I am more inclined to Rivers.

Not with our need at SF. 1 PG and 1 SF that are both shooters would be great.

This. I actually don't like the idea of taking a PG in the top 20 of this draft. Take the BSFA and then the BPA. Analyze the roster and trade for a PG or get one in FA. There are just going to be too many BPA's in the lottery to justify taking a PG based solely on need. I'm still on board with QMiller and Rivers. QMiller gives us what we need at SF, imo.

Miller seems to be getting better every time I watch him. That is what truly excites me about him as a possible Jazzman.

To me he is listed as a PF not a SF. Is he a more natural SF at the NBA level?

Edit: If so then great! He is projected to go around when the Jazz are drafting, 11-14.

He is most definitely a SF. He played in HS, he plays it in college, and he'll play it in the NBA.

This is how it goes for me.

Offense: Rivers
Shooting: Rivers
Passing: Marshall
Defense: Rivers
Bball IQ: Toss Up
Athleticism: Rivers
Speed: Rivers
Intangibles: Rivers

That sums it up for me.
Players standing around watching Rivers isolate and dribble the ball for 15 seconds is not providing more offense.

Having someone that gets everyone involved moving the ball around, and getting open looks and dunks in the context of the offense is better offense

This is a valid argument, I'm also not opposed to drafting Rivers, but if we do draft Rivers it better be to play sg. With that in mind, I do believe Marshall is a lotto talent and not a reach late in the lottery. He will make the entire team better and provide leadership to a team.
