i dont think gs pick will necessarily be very valuable. Next yrs draft is pretty strong, but we r nt sure, if GSW will be at the bottom 8 or not. If we r rebuilding the team, i think we can trade Harris to get such a promising young player.
Personally i would prefr to get two young quality players instead of one young and keeping a veteran just for mentoring. Harris isnt Kidd or Nash to help him improve a lot
I actually would do this trade: Toronto #5 pick (Knight) for #12 pick, Harris and GS pick
Then
Sign Earl Watson for 2-3 seasons to start for 3/4 of next season and ease Knight in slowly. That way Knight would have someone there to mentor him. Earl played well enough last season IMO.
You then have 2 up and coming players in Kanter & Knight, and you'll also have Jefferson & Watson there to guide them for at least this year as well as next year (if required).
OKC 2.0?
Knight
Hayward
Kanter
Favors
There's scoring there: Knight, Hayward, Kanter. Defense as well: Knight, Favors. That would give us a young core with enough talent I think to rival any teams within 2-3 year's time.
