Well, here's one more chance at Sean Williams. Certainly smells fishy that he was waived, but he's evidently still available.

Something must have been up, as his replacement is 6'7" 260-pound 30-year-old Sam Clancy--far less of a talent based on basic measurements. If the point of contention was finances, or living overseas, then he's still worth considering. Given that Clancy was playing in Israel recently, it's possible that it was a salary dump by Williams' Israeli team, where they got a cheaper Clancy in return.
If it's attitude or health or getting in trouble (all possibilities), though, then probably not.
In any case, I wonder if it has any impact on the Fesenko negotiations; not sure if the Fes camp would buy the claim that there is yet another journeyman center out there that could fill Fes's shoes. Both Fes's agent and KOC can probably find out the dirt (if any) pretty easily.
