A coach should always support his players. But let's be honest quin isn't a coach that supports his players unless your a favourite. Rubio is a favourite. Quin hasn't got good track record with supporting or encouraging his players

And yes, a lot of fans are incredibly stupid when it comes to Rubio, so his comments are probably in part directed towards educating them.
And Rubio had the best 1st half of the season shooting performance of his career.
If Rubio follows the trend of his career, he is in line for another career year in terms of shooting.

And Rubio's career year still puts him in the bottom half of starting PGs in the league.
I'm not trying to say dump Rubio. I just don't think he needs to play 30 minutes a night. And I don't think he has to start.
