The Battle Begins

Even if you do that they are still a limited resource for the demand of socialized medicine.

Why would you think doctors are a limited resource? To even argue the point that doctors are the common you would have to make the assumption that currently right now we have the most doctors possible.

And the Health Care Bill isn't socialized medicine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3tLHqGz7uE

This is actually a very interesing debate on Bill Maher

People like Franklin that will just take this as rhetoric get over yourself and get someone different point of view.

Btw Franklin maybe you have a great job you could be a lawyer, a doctor, or a #@@$$%##$. But, obviously you don't have problem with money. I hope you never become un or underemployed because right now it is obvious that you can look down from your pedestal an have any type of empathy for those who are the least amongst you. Matthew 19:24 brother!!!!

Because they are.
How? The tragedy of the commons is a dilemma arising from the situation in which multiple individuals, acting independently and rationally consulting their own self-interest, will ultimately deplete a shared limited resource even when it is clear that it is not in anyone's long-term interest for this to happen. From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_the_commons. Some point that you are not taking in to consideration are shared limited resources doctors are limitless if their is a need that is a job that could be filled. And how could you harm the long-term interest of doctors?

If you can gorw it, it's not a limited resource, at least not in the sense used for the tragedy of the commons.

Also, there are no doctor shortages (at east, nor more so than the USA) in France, Germany, etc. You are making a broad, inaccurate generalization.

There is a difference between a limited resource and a shortage.

In socialized medicine doctors and the treatment they give become a shared limited resource.

You mean like the grass the animals graze on?

If you have to google a term such as "Tragedy of the Commons" then you probably don't have enough insight to comment on it following your short briefing.

Stop. You don't have enough clout to directly address me, brother.

That, and your spelling and grammatically challenged insight is "nigh insufferable". You're not exactly scoring points with pontifications drawn up no better than by an adolescent who just failed 8th grade English. Good luck with that GMAT though.

$@#$ I didn't know I was talking to an English teacher. Were does you clout come from? I love that fact that you think you are something big. Should I address you as Sir or maybe D$@# Franklin. Get off you high horse I'm pretty sure I will do fine on the GMAT. Thanks for the encouragement!

But seriously, stop posting. You do damage to liberals the same way that Millsapa does damage to conservatives. Even those who nominally agree with your conclusions are emarassed to have you on their side because your presentation is so piss-poor.

And as long as I'm here: Thriller, the above applies double for you.

Sure you can. There are islands and coast lines that have been created and/or extended using recycled trash and compost. The island of Manhattan is a great example.

Then it no longer fits the example of teh tragedy of the commons.

Yep, pretty much why I can't take conservatives seriously when they talk about freedom.

Maybe I don't understand the following quote but isn't the instances One Brow brought up usually cases where morality has become completely subjective? Our shared morals say we don't want certain drugs to be legal and that as a society we want marriage reserved for a male and a female past a certain age with the hopes this will support the nurturing of future generations.

It's when reality and morality become completely subjective that we loose our integrity.

Sure, but I think it's up to the individual to follow a code of moraiity beyond not using force or coercion against others.

I don't think it's okay for a society to tell people what to do when no one else is directly affected by thier actions.

Isn't that your subjective morality?
