The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

More bad news for Biden and Democrats. Doesn’t it feel like we’re in a Great Depression? Better vote for fascism this fall.

Remember, 4 years ago unemployment was in double figures and 1,500-2,000 Americans were dying daily from covid. You are definitely better off today than 4 years ago.

In February of 4 years ago, before the pandemic hit, the unemployment rate was 3.5%. It is about 3.9% now, so higher than it was under Trump at the comparable point in time. Inflation was also only 1.4% and real wages were rising, so Trump wins there too. Right now the economy is really rough but the Fed is playing tricks to hide the numbers, mostly by stripping Food and Energy out of the inflation numbers. Biden already used up nearly all of the strategic petroleum reserve in an effort to get gas prices down but now the oil is gone so gas prices are going right back up. Notice that Biden isn't using the term "Bidenomics" any longer. The American people know that when they go to a fast food place and means cost triple what they did under Trump that Biden is lying about how amazing the economy is.

Maybe stop urinating on people heads and telling them it's raining.

Yep. I'm doing better than ever and seemingly so is everyone around. Spending more than ever and going on vacations like crazy

Can we just hold up here for a second? I know that there are a lot of outrageous stories out there right now and I know Republicans are flooding the zone with **** to distract from Trump’s likely guilty verdict, but we need to talk about Alito.

He’s one of nine Supreme Court justices in the country who has the final say on our laws. He’s made it clear that he’s a partisan hack with an ax to grind. A few years ago he gave a speech at Notre Dame decrying our country’s culture. But now we find out that he was supportive of the Trump coup and was explicitly supportive of it by overtly flying not one but two outrageous flags at two different residences about it? When called out, he lied about them.

He made it sound like “his wife” unfurled the flag in response to a neighbor harassing them. Instead, we find out that the Alitos lied and they had the flag up first for over a month before they harassed a neighbor so bad that the neighbor called the police in the Alitos. Remember, Alito is a Supreme Court justice, not the neighbor. If there’s anyone who should be honest and careful to violence the law and/or partisan bias, it should be a justice.

Sometimes, the best arguments for Supreme Court reform aren’t made by Democrats. They’re made by the justices themselves. This behavior is outrageous and behind the pale. And now Alito refuses to recuse himself from court cases on Trump?

Folks, this is exactly how democracies give in to authoritarianism. I don’t care what your stance is on tax cuts and abortion. This is not right.

You could just vote Alito out of office.

Oh wait, you can't...because this isn't a democracy. Our government is a republic where we get to democratically elect only the legislative branch and quasi-elect the head of the executive branch. It appears our democracy gave in about 250 years ago and your fears mark you as someone who maybe should have paid more attention in civics class.

Oh?

Well that’s fine. Nothing to see there. That’s totally fine. I’m sure republicans and Fox News would have no problem if a liberal judge were doing the same bribery errr courting. You know what’s really terrifying? Biden’s tan suit! He’s such an elitist who’s just out of touch with real America! Inflation and illegals and CRT stuff is killing America.

I think you've lost the plot. I don't believe I've ever seen Biden in a tan suit let alone hearing criticism of it. The main critique of Biden is that he's well in to dementia. Are you thinking maybe of someone else?

Yep! Me too! I can’t afford to vote for Trump. Why change anything? This Biden economy is killin it!

The same people who complain about these trump trials being unfair politically motivated witch hunts also post things like this everywhere.

No trial or crime even necessary. Just lock em all upScreenshot_2024-05-30-07-06-14-14_a23b203fd3aafc6dcb84e438dda678b6.jpg

The other thing with this. It says putting these people in prison would fix America. So those 7 people being in prison would stop illegal immigration, stop inflation, end all war, end poverty, end drug and alcohol abuse, fix our education, fix the healthcare system, end shootings, end unemployment, etc etc?
How so?

I guess it’s okay for the right to fantasize about this yet heaven forbid a jury of 12 of Donald’s peers find him guilty of any crime.
