Can the Thunderbirds defeat the fascists? More in November... Apparently that parasite Nigel Farage is too busy collecting green backs in the US to stand for government in the UK, where the Conservatives are expected to be abolished as a political party by the electorate.
 


Trump is working hard to instigate violence on his behalf/start a civil war. I've noticed that shooting ranges in the desert near where I've been parking to ride moto for the last 20 years are at overflow. Trumptards gearing up to kill fellow Americans.

"It's just been revealed that Biden's DOJ was authorized to use DEADLY FORCE for their DESPICABLE raid in Mar-a-Lago."
Garland, who oversees the FBI as attorney general, said such policies are routine and were also in effect during consensual searches of Biden’s homes conducted by the FBI in a separate classified documents investigation.

I suspect real America’s sentiment towards Trump closer to this than MAGA and Fox News want to admit. Which is why I want to see Trump blasted 24/7 on tv from now until the election. We need to remind this country how stupid, petty, and obnoxious he is. Biden doesn’t need to be compared to the almighty. We just need to compare him to the disgusting pig, the alternative.

I’m old enough to remember circa 2009-2010 that a bunch of angry dudes wearing tri-cornered hats defended this ridiculous health care system. Mitch McConnell even called it the “best health care system in the world.” I remember people in my ward and neighborhood arguing in elder’s quorum at church (and on Facebook) that health care wasn’t a right but a privilege and defended an insurance company’s “right” to give patients the runaround if not drop coverage altogether if they wanted.

It seems like that kind of mentality has faded and much to the credit of politicians like Bernie Sanders, has exposed the need for a universal health care system. I don’t know of many people that support our current system. Seems like most know that it sucks and are far more open to change than when I was younger. If Democrats regain the House, retain the senate and White House, I do hope they make a push for additional health care reform. I’d love to someday see America join the rest of the industrialized world with a health care system that doesn’t rely on our ridiculous system.

Anyone else remember the days before the ACA when insurance companies could deny you coverage due to pre-existing conditions? Good times good times.

The insanity on the right didn’t start in 2016, Trump merely threw gas onto the fire. In fact, the dysfunction he creates generates a feedback loop. Government can’t function well. Which frustrates more people and they take out their frustration by voting even more bomb throwers into office.

Anyone else remember when tea party folks celebrated when disabled people suffering from diseases lost their health care coverage because they could no longer work? Hilarious.

After one man in the crowd starts mocking Letcher, Reichert steps out of the crowd, throwing money in Letcher's face, and mockingly shouts, "No, no I'll pay for this guy. Here you go, start a pot. I'll pay for you." He then yells, "I'll decide when to give you money...No more handouts," and again throws money at him. In the background, shouts of "Communist" can be heard. Trump did have another memorial day post sharing an image showing himself saluting a grave and said, "We can never replace them. We can never repay them, but we can always remember. Today, that is what we are doing - we remember."

Even then I still prefer Bidens post:
"Since America's founding, our service members have laid down their lives for an idea unlike any other: the idea of the United States. Today, as generations of heroes lie in eternal peace, we live by the light of liberty they kept burning. May God bless them, always."

It included a photograph of American flags marking gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

And of course with trumps message he had to include himself in the photo. He always has to make things about him first and foremost.

If we people want to have an honest conversation about student debt, this should be brought up. Usable majors and classes should be looked at.

Majors which students that take out debt should not be forgiven by the government:

The performance of self
Sociology of Environmental Communication
Care Politics
Art as a Social Mechanism
Equilibrium or Negotiated Paradox
Queering and Decolonizing Theater Practice

$160k in student loans for these majors are bad advice by parents, friends or influences.
They are hurting these kids futures with these educational choices.

You want to have people ok with student loan forgiveness; limit it the top 30 needed degrees, updated yearly. Have a requirement that the students work for the government (local, state or federal), military or local services (police, fire, medical) for a certain amount of years and then it will be forgiven.

What I would like is a government run market place for teachers and students, who come together locally or online where the students can complete their degree with it being subsidized by the federal government. So kids can leave debit free or with limited debt.

Apparently a lot of people in this country, including some on this board. I wish more conservatives with integrity would speak out against Trump. Why don’t they? This human porta potty baking in July heat is who they want to vote for this fall?

Every day sadly he reminds us what his real and perceived grievances are. The problem for me isn’t his insanity. The problem for me is that there’s an audience for his crap. What’s wrong with these people?

Remember, 4 years ago unemployment was in double figures and 1,500-2,000 Americans were dying daily from covid. You are definitely better off today than 4 years ago.
