I knew you would be a person who snorts and laughs.*snort* Thanks for the good laugh.
Okay, again, I too am not a fan of his. I don't find him repulsive though. But you still can't acknowledge that in my original post and follow up that I do not support him. You think for some reason because he is republican that I support him.LOL I knew you'd say this. No, it's pretty obvious what most of us on this board find repulsive about Santos:
Why? What are the rules for a politician who lies? They immediately get kicked out? What's the process? Just because you don't like what he did, doesn't mean you can just do something to him unless it's in the laws.1) He's a pathological liar who should immediately be kicked out of the House. No, we shouldn't wait until 2024. He should be kicked out right now.
Agreed. The voters were sold a completely different person. These aren't slight embellishments, they're complete fabrications of every facet of his life.
If they loose 1 person, the house is still controlled by the Republicans... doesn't matter either way to me. Also remember, I love a split congress. I love it. No matter who the POTUS is. Forces people to work together.Don't you believe he should be expelled? Or is controlling the House too much of a priority?
2) He identifies as gay when it suits his purposes. He also wants all the benefits of identifying with the LGBT community while simultaneously attacking it.
Example 1,457,094 (If you don't understand this, do a simple Google Search about the owners of Chick-Fil-A):
I love when folks like you accuse me of never criticizing Democrats. I'm old enough to remember back in 2019-2020 when those left of center accused me of not being progressive enough. So funny.
You're partisan. You understand this correct? It's okay to be one.Partisan slobs
Obvious DeSantis shade. Yeah I'm a fan of DeSantis, I have made this very clear. I also liked Andrew Yang the last go around but he lost in the primaries. You pretend to be anti Trump but when the rubber meets the road, you'll either vote for Trump or vote for the candidate attempting to be as Trump like as possible.
I truly believe you do not know what a moderate is. Really, I don't. You think every person has to be a republican or a democrat, which they don't. Two party system is for the lazy, pseudo-intellectual people, who need to be told what to think and say. Join a side and be feed talking points, without doing any research. Seriously, everything you say is repeated from far left tweeters and talk show hosts. You are a cheerleader for the left and have no original thoughts and depth of understanding of most topics. I thought that would be pretty clear to you after everyone in the forum let you know this in the 2A thread. Again though it's ok to be a partisan. You're not the thoughtful and/or moderate you pretend to be.
He's been making similar gaffes since he was in his 40s. It's because of his inclination to stutter, not his age.
Poor old dude should be retired and chilling and enjoying life somewhere right now. Not working an extremely stressful job that he isn't suited for.
The "B" stands for bisexual, which Santos quite possibly is. He's hardly unique if he's a self-hating bisexual.2) He identifies as gay when it suits his purposes. He also wants all the benefits of identifying with the LGBT community while simultaneously attacking it.
I would say "identified" as opposed to "accused".I'm old enough to remember back in 2019-2020 when those left of center accused me of not being progressive enough.
You defend him, I never said anything about supporting him. Probably because your partisan leanings and identification compel you to defend him while insulting those you deem to be against your tribe. It's okay, just own up to it.Okay, again, I too am not a fan of his. I don't find him repulsive though. But you still can't acknowledge that in my original post and follow up that I do not support him. You think for some reason because he is republican that I support him.
The House could've refused to seat him and he could be expelled. There's already a process set up. Just because you don't understand how the government works doesn't mean I'm the bad guy here. Why? What are the rules for a politician who lies? They immediately get kicked out? What's the process? Just because you don't like what he did, doesn't mean you can just do something to him unless it's in the laws.
LOL. Again, I needed this laugh. You are a very angry and emotional person. If you don't get your way you throw a tantrum. You have a long history of this on this board. Your anger is also only geared towards people on the right.
Lose*If they loose 1 person, the house is still controlled by the Republicans... doesn't matter either way to me. Also remember, I love a split congress. I love it. No matter who the POTUS is. Forces people to work together.
Again, you're pretending to be ignorant again. We all see what Santos is doing here.Wow, again not very accepting of someones orientation. So a gay man can not order Chick-Fil-A for himself or others without attacking the LGBT community?
I don't think that improves my view about your low level of intelligence, historical knowledge, or understanding of the American government.Obvious DeSantis shade. Yeah I'm a fan of DeSantis, I have made this very clear. I also liked Andrew Yang the last go around but he lost in the primaries.
Actually, the two party system acts as gatekeepers for bad ideas and candidates. This is one of the reasons why American democracy has survived while other democracies around the world have crashed and burned over the last 200 years. Parties should actually be strengthened even more. It's only been in recent years where parties have become weakened that we've seen the decline in candidate quality. The inability for the party to kill off the political life of bad candidates, like Santos and Trump, is one of the major problems our democracy faces.I truly believe you do not know what a moderate is. Really, I don't. You think every person has to be a republican or a democrat, which they don't. Two party system is for the lazy, pseudo-intellectual people, who need to be told what to think and say. Join a side and be feed talking points, without doing any research. I really don't like him identifying himself as one thing then campaigning as another. He's crossed the bridge to success and now wants to burn it down. The "B" stands for bisexual, which Santos quite possibly is. He's hardly unique if he's a self-hating bisexual.
I would say "identified" as opposed to "accused".
I thought stuttering was when you are like c c c c come on over for d d d d dinner. Something like that. Not saying the completely wrong thing and leaving classified documents all over the place. Maybe the stutter also causes one to sniff other people. IDK.He's been making similar gaffes since he was in his 40s. It's because of his inclination to stutter, not his age.
That said, I agree he should retire.
It can be that and it can be stumbling over words. And sometimes working through the one kind like you have here can lead to the other one. My BIL stuttered like you have it here, as a kid, and as he overcame this now he stumbles over words, often repeating the same word or saying a completely different one then correcting himself. I never thought about it but it is quite a bit like Biden.I thought stuttering was when you are like c c c c come on over for d d d d dinner. Something like that. Not saying the completely wrong thing and leaving classified documents all over the place. Maybe the stutter also causes one to sniff other people. IDK.
I'm glad that Biden has been president. Imagine the situation in Ukraine had Donald been president. Would America even be part of NATO right now?I thought stuttering was when you are like c c c c come on over for d d d d dinner. Something like that. Not saying the completely wrong thing and leaving classified documents all over the place. Maybe the stutter also causes one to sniff other people. IDK.
If everything else he said about himself weren't a provable lie, I would give him a lot more benefit of the doubt. The "B" stands for bisexual, which Santos quite possibly is. He's hardly unique if he's a self-hating bisexual.
Here is Thrillers favorite 2024 Candidate. As for the Chick-Fil-A thing, while a gay man might buy a bunch of it, there is no way a gay man involved in politics in our society would be unaware of the semiotics of it.
You're proving my point. Buttigieg is a politically active gay man, and he is aware of the messaging. Here is Thrillers favorite 2024 Candidate.
Is it really hard to separate a product and its owners politics? Doesn’t seem like Buttigieg has issue with it.

Fighting the stutter takes focus and mental energy, leaving more opening for gaffes.I thought stuttering was when you are like c c c c come on over for d d d d dinner. Something like that. Unless he campaigned as LGBTQ+ and is actually straight, I don't see it as an issue. Since there is a man who confirms that Santos proposed marriage to him, I'm going is "bi".I really don't like him identifying himself as one thing then campaigning as another. He's crossed the bridge to success and now wants to burn it down.
Since Santos is a conservative, I agree he's well aware of the semiotics. If everything else he said about himself weren't a provable lie, I would give him a lot more benefit of the doubt.

Mr. Barr’s insistence about what he had surmised bewildered intelligence officials. But Mr. Durham spent his first months looking for any evidence that the origin of the Russia investigation involved an intelligence operation targeting the Trump campaign.
Mr. Durham’s team spent long hours combing the C.I.A.’s files but found no way to support the allegation. Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham traveled abroad together to press British and Italian officials to reveal everything their agencies had gleaned about the Trump campaign and relayed to the United States, but both allied governments denied they had done any such thing. Top British intelligence officials expressed indignation to their U.S. counterparts about the accusation, three former U.S. officials said.
On one of Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham’s trips to Europe, according to people familiar with the matter, Italian officials — while denying any role in setting off the Russia investigation — unexpectedly offered a potentially explosive tip linking Mr. Trump to certain suspected financial crimes.
Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham decided that the tip was too serious and credible to ignore. But rather than assign it to another prosecutor, Mr. Barr had Mr. Durham investigate the matter himself — giving him criminal prosecution powers for the first time — even though the possible wrongdoing by Mr. Trump did not fall squarely within Mr. Durham’s assignment to scrutinize the origins of the Russia inquiry, the people said.
Mr. Durham never filed charges, and it remains unclear what level of an investigation it was, what steps he took, what he learned and whether anyone at the White House ever found out. The extraordinary fact that Mr. Durham opened a criminal investigation that included scrutinizing Mr. Trump has remained secret.
That house belonging to Joe Biden with the classified documents was being rented by Hunter Biden for $50,000 per month. The rental rates for houses in that area were running around $5k per month.
There is no way any honest person would possibly buy chick fila. Disgusting stuff. Can't trust anybody who does that. Like my boss.If everything else he said about himself weren't a provable lie, I would give him a lot more benefit of the doubt.

I think I maybe had a sandwich from them once, back when they had a store in Crossroads mall. I was unimpressed. This was long before we (or at least I) knew of the odious views of their owner. There is no way any honest person would possibly buy chick fila. Disgusting stuff. Can't trust anybody who does that. Like my boss.
