The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

yeah I'm pretty stupid, maybe you should dumb down your brilliant posts next time.
My post wasn't brilliant, it was a joke aimed at the steak guy. But then you decided to be a dick to me about it for some reason. I guess you're probably just an *******.

When you post something that on its face is ignorant, it is hard to see the sarcasm and “joke”

I was responding to someone saying that Trump started no new wars. My wording was not precise. It was far from ignorant.

Your jackass, high-horse response to me, on the other hand...

I would go further and say this has been the best Biden has been. So far I don't think he's put a foot wrong and this is a situation that is almost impossible to not put a foot wrong. He deserves the praise he's been getting.

You saying this here deserves respect. Although I have gripes with our response, it reminds me we have common ground out here. Boners.

The U.S. economy grew at its fastest pace in nearly two years in the third quarter as higher wages from a tight labor market helped to power consumer spending, again defying dire warnings of a recession that have lingered since 2022.

Most economists have revised their forecasts and now believe that the Fed can engineer a "soft-landing" for the economy, pointing to strength in worker productivity and moderation in unit labor costs growth in the second quarter, which they expected carried through into the July-September period.

Consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, was the main driver.

A strong labor market is providing underlying support to spending. Though wage growth has slowed, it is rising a bit faster than inflation, lifting households' purchasing power.

Gonna have to learn more about this dude but im very happy and excited to have another option in the democratic race. Good chance he gets my vote in the primary.

Love what I read here. 54 years old. Believes we need options other than biden, while commending biden as well, and says he hope for more competition in the democratic primaries as well to get the best possible candidate. Says that polling numbers are scary in the fact they show that trump could very well beat biden next november and that trump winning is unnacceptable.

First elected in 2018, Dean Phillips defeated six-term Republican incumbent Erik Paulsen.[7] By flipping the once staunchly Republican district, he became the first Democrat to win the seat since 1958. He has since been reelected twice. Phillips is considered a centrist and a moderate Democrat.

As of right now, he has my vote.

Nice skim, I'll have to dig deeper. But **** I'm so ready for any new blood with new ideas. We need it badly.

how does it work for an independent there ?? they just go straight to the general election ?

Looks like they need to petition and have a certain number of signatures based on each state, but he's polling higher than any independent ever has at this stage so it shouldn't be an issue.

As of right now I would vote for Nikki Haley over any republican candidate and would vote for her over Joe Biden as well. She has impressed me multiple times.

I think Vivek was right. She’s Dick Cheney. I suggest conservatives desperate to vote for someone other than trump remember what happened with a hawk (Bush/Cheney).

Guys, the GOP is a sick and dying bird. A vote for any of these candidates, other than lame *** Vivek, means American troops on the ground.

Please remember history. Please.
