The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

When Mike Johnson was chosen as speaker of the house I was pretty vocal in my disappointment on that choice. I have been pleasantly surprised by him though.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Johnson said he wasn't concerned about Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's threat to remove him if he went ahead.

"This is not a game. It's not a joke," Johnson told reporters. "We have to do the right thing and I'm going to allow an opportunity for every single member of House to vote their conscience and their will on this. And I think that's the way this institution is supposed to work. And I'm willing to take personal risk for that because we have to do the right thing and history will judge us."

Asked whether he'd seek Democratic relief if Greene's "motion to vacate" is brought up for a vote, Johnson shrugged off the prospect of another battle for the speaker's gavel.

"I do not spend time walking around thinking about the motion to vacate. I have a job to do here. I'm going to do the job. Regardless of personal consequences, that's what we're supposed to do," Johnson said. "If Marjorie brings the motion, she brings the motion and we'll let the chips fall where they may. I have to do what I have to do and then the members will vote their conscience as well."

Well said.

Biden urged the House to pass the package this week, adding that the Senate should "quickly follow."

"I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won't let Iran or Russia succeed," Biden wrote in a statement Wednesday.

Typical blatant lies from the Jew and Christian Hate Nationalist. Trump is behind Johnson. You Jew and Christian Hate Nationalist are so damn easy to manipulate and will lie about anything... Just because MTG says something that doesn't make it MAGA. Most of us don't even like MTG, including Trump.

Former President Donald Trump gave House Speaker Mike Johnson a political lifeline Friday amid discontent with his leadership among conservatives in the House, saying, “I stand with the speaker, we’ve had a very good relationship."

After a week filled with political setbacks for both men, and as Trump faces the first of four potential criminal trials beginning Monday in Manhattan, two of the country's most powerful Republicans met at Mar-a-Lago to unveil voting legislation they hope will put Democrats on the defensive, even as critics say it’s based on a false premise.

Johnson is struggling to govern a fractious GOP caucus that has become increasingly disenchanted with his leadership, to the point that he is facing the threat of removal.

So you're openly admitting there is no possible way for Trump to have a fair trial. That is unconstitutional yet you still love it. Crave it. Call others dictators and nationalist. If you really cared you would've asked for this to be somewhere neutral, not have a judge who openly donates and has advocated for Biden like we have here. You really care Red... Lol not.

The Sixth Amendment guarantees the rights of criminal defendants, including the right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a lawyer, the right to an impartial jury, and the right to know who your accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against you.

Ya jury selection for Trump trials will be difficult.
Too bad trump wanted a trial by jury.
Also too bad trump couldn't resist sleeping with a porn star (and playboy model Karen McDougal) and then paying her with campaign contributions to keep her quiet about it.

While you're taking a slight break from hating Christians for nothing, you should know Trump actually likes Johnson. Hell a few weeks ago you and @Red were hypocritically saying Trump implanted him and he's Trump's yes man. Remember that? You remember saying that, now you're pushing a blatant lie that completely contradicts what you Baby Genocide Nationalist were saying literally just a few weeks ago? Do you really believe anything you say? You obviously don't.

I'm liking Johnson more and more. Maybe he'd be a better Presidential candidate. Of course the right would never vote for him because he's, you know, not insane. But he's working himself into viability if he keeps doing good stuff like this.

Agreed.

For those that are too busy hating Christians... 2 days ago. You guys don't understand what "backs" means do you? Obviously not. Read your own post. In 2nd grade English "backing" someone means "to support". You guys honestly didn't know that... lololol

I mean... doesn't Mike Johnson believe that Christianity is America's religion? One second you hypocrites hate people, now you suddenly like them.

W.t.f? @fishonjazz can you explain? JFC you guys are hypocrites on everything you ever say. Literally everything. This morning you're hating people like him, 20 minutes later you like them.

Speaking only for myself, I certainly have not forgotten at all. But, right now I’m hoping he can get aid for Ukraine passed. As for his Christian nationalist extremists views? I have not forgotten, and could not imagine ever voting for him. But, if he wants to get an aid package for Ukraine passed, well, thank you Mr. Johnson. He has not himself embraced Moscow Marge’s rhetoric on Ukraine. I’m more than OK if he wants to do this.

Crazy how moderate Trump really is. Would you bigots consider these people Gay Nationalist in your modern day hate fest?

Charles Moran, president of the Long Cabin group, said he believes Trump can significantly increase LGBT voters this year. Moran cited Trump's appointment of Grenell, Trump's 2019 commitments to end the HIV epidemic, and a global push to end the criminalization of homosexuality.

"The mainstream media and even the gay media doesn't report on this now because there's this narrative that exists that Donald Trump is anti-gay," Moran said.

He added that Trump was the first president to support gay marriage before being sworn into office.

"Let's not forget to look at who Donald Trump is as an individual. This is a man who has a long history — philanthropically, businesswise, and politically — supporting LGBT inclusion," Moran said. "He talks publicly about how he went to Studio 54 back in the day, and how he had a lot of gay friends in New York social circles, and in the '80s, he had a lot of friends that died because of HIV/AIDS."

Some strange behavior here: https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/man-sets-himself-fire-trump-trial-manhattan/5336882/

A man set himself on fire outside the courtroom where former President Donald Trump is facing charges in a hush money case, witnesses and officials said.

The person set himself aflame after 1:30 p.m. Friday in the designated protest area outside of the trial outside the courthouse in lower Manhattan, according to witnesses. Video appeared to show the moments after the self-immolation, as the man laid on the ground burning, at times seemingly seizing.

There was already a heavy NYPD presence already outside the building due to the high-profile nature of the trial, and officers rushed to get what appeared to be a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. Their first attempt to put out the fire was unsuccessful, and video appeared to show the man trying to sit up.

The fire was put out minutes later after police brought a larger extinguisher, leaving a smoky scene outside court as a gaggle of reporters and witnesses looked on.

Three law enforcement sources said the man who set himself on fire appears to have been a follower of some conspiracy theories and may have had emotional issues.

The man who lit himself on fire outside Manhattan court during former President Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial Friday has been identified by police as Max Azzarello, a Florida man who describes himself online as an “investigative researcher.”

At the top of the site is an article with the headline “I have set myself on fire outside of the trump Trial,” followed by a rambling manifesto riddled with conspiracy theories on everything from cryptocurrency and Hollywood actors to COVID and former President Bill Clinton.

“My name is Max Azzarello, and I am an investigative researcher who has set himself on fire outside of the Trump trial in Manhattan,” the nearly 2,700-word posting begins.

“This extreme act of protest is to draw attention to an urgent and important discovery: We are victims of a totalitarian con, and our own government (along with many of their allies) is about to hit us with an apocalyptic fascist world coup.”

His LinkedIn profile picture features a picture with Bill Clinton, whom he sued last year in a conspiracy theory-tinged case with more than 100 other individuals which was later thrown out.

L...o...l this brain dead racist houseplant is loved and cherished.

President Joe Biden’s baffling suggestion that his uncle might have been eaten by cannibals after a plane crash off Papua New Guinea during World War II has, unsurprisingly, not gone over great with the people who actually live there or have carefully studied the region’s history.

The Democrat made the comments Wednesday while discussing the fate of Ambrose Finnegan, whom he affectionately referred to as “Uncle Bosie.” “He got shot down in New Guinea, and they never found the body because there used to be—there were a lot of cannibals, for real, in that part of New Guinea,” Biden said.

Sounds familiar doesn't it? Crazy how similar you guys are. @The Thriller was preaching this exact Qanon bs this morning. And Thriller calls others scary....

"Trump’s in on it,” Mr. Azzarello said on Thursday. “It’s a secret kleptocracy, and it can only lead to an apocalyptic fascist coup.”

Project 2025 is something that normal real Americans should become familiar with. It’s the vision of what many Christian nationalists want to implement in a second Trump term. They want to turn America into an authoritarian regime, like Russia or Hungary. If you value the freedoms and prosperity of a multicultural democratic America, you’ll want to know what Trump and his Christian nationalist allies have in store!

Mike Johnson is just a few days out from his pilgrimage to Mar-A-Felony to meet Trump and he has flipped hard on this issue. I wonder if he came to the stark realization that the emperor has no clothes by having a one-on-one with the man.
It’s better to have it than not but this is frustrating. What was all the delay for? We could’ve given Ukraine this aid 6 months ago. It certainly didn’t help the GOP politically. It’s just really frustrating how our country is held hostage by a few losers in the House who are addicted to outrage porn on Fox News. If Fox News didn’t exist, this aid would’ve been approved long ago.

How much of politics is based on Fox News merely opposing what their perceived cultural and political enemies support?

Ukraine, vaccines, mail in voting, public education, all come to mind…
