The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

IMG_5362.jpg
Check out this conspiracy theory. Looking forward to conservatives deep research into this “coincidence”, of which there are none (Steve Bannon). Please keep your feelings to yourself. We don’t need your tears.

History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes.

If you keep on ignoring every thing he’s done, accepting ridiculous and ever present excuses or clarifications, and moving along like it’s all good, realize it hurts us all and you’re doing this willfully and with purpose.

If history does rhyme, this will not end well for any of us.

Here is the red meat:

"The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever. Even putting aside the specifics of election law, the Manhattan DA itself almost never brings any case in which falsification of business records is the only charge.

Standing alone, falsification charges would have been mere misdemeanors under New York law, which posed two problems for the DA. First, nobody cares about a misdemeanor, and it would be laughable to bring the first-ever charge against a former president for a trifling offense that falls within the same technical criminal classification as shoplifting a Snapple and a bag of Cheetos from a bodega. Second, the statute of limitations on a misdemeanor — two years — likely has long expired on Trump’s conduct, which dates to 2016 and 2017.

So, to inflate the charges up to the lowest-level felony (Class E, on a scale of Class A through E) — and to electroshock them back to life within the longer felony statute of limitations — the DA alleged that the falsification of business records was committed “with intent to commit another crime.” Here, according to prosecutors, the “another crime” is a New York State election-law violation, which in turn incorporates three separate “unlawful means”: federal campaign crimes, tax crimes, and falsification of still more documents. Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up"

It’s true that this case was initially a federal case, initiated by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York. In fact, they’re the ones who prosecuted Michael Cohen, who paid Stormy Daniels in the hush money scandal. At that point, did federal prosecutors conclude that the case was simply over and walk away? Not exactly."

"What they actually found was that Cohen acted at Trump’s direction and to Trump’s benefit. Why didn’t prosecutors pursue the matter further? According to Geoffrey Berman — the Trump-appointed U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York, who wrote a book about his experiences — it’s because there was political interference from other Trump appointees who ordered prosecutors to end their investigation."
"Indeed, according to Berman’s book, then-Attorney General Bill Barr not only intervened in the case, he tried to kill the ongoing investigation and even suggested that Cohen’s conviction should be reversed."

"The GOP committee chairs wrote yesterday that federal prosecutors “determined that no additional people would be charged alongside Cohen,” but they conveniently overlooked why they made that determination."
"It wasn’t because of a thorough review of the law; it was because Trump’s attorney general told them to stop — because in the previous administration, the brazen politicization of federal law enforcement was the norm."

Everyone can post stuff.
Fact is still that trump slept with a pornstar and paid her off and falsified how it was done and was found guilty on 34 felonies.

Trump stole classified documents and wouldn't return them.

Trump tried to overturn an election and stay in power

Trump riled up a mob of pissed off followers and told them to march to the Whitehouse and fight or they wouldn't have a country.

Trump did these things. No one else. Trump. Trump is the reason for any and all charges against him. No one else

Imagine if trump really was a conservative trying to do things like free Assange and Snowden. It really is remarkable. It takes someone with billions of dollars to expose just how corrupt and deep the rot really is. It’s so deep, far, and widespread it’s unimaginable.

Clown harder.

The Rapist should 100% get a prison sentence if that is what any other person would get. I look forward to these ****ing morons getting prison sentences too when they try to pull their little Trumptard civil war.

This is Merchan's time to treat The Rapist as a regular American and in the process save us from more of his traitorous, country-wrecking psychosis.

Someone with 10 contempt of court incidents, no remorse and the potential to offend again would generally get a harsher sentence. In this case that would indeed mean prison time. Of course this is a "first offense," non-violent, and the perpetrator is 77. That would typically mean a sentence on the low end, so likely based on that alone, some type of probation. With the contempt and lack of remorse I think a normal person would do a few months in jail.

Trump is not going to do time for this. I'd say zero percent chance he does even serious house arrest.

I really hope not. I love my life and I love my country. War is horrible and stupid.

The Republican Party is acting, and certainly talking, as if our federal government, and institutions, are the enemies of the United States. Are they going to keep it up right through the election? I think we can be sure Trump will keep it up. We are not at the point described in the recent movie of the same name, and may we never, but the rhetoric Trump and the Republican Party is using in response to the New York conviction is the rhetoric of civil war.

Are they out of their minds? Don’t they know how destructive this is to create this fake narrative? Driven into a corner by The Big Lie, they have no plan, it would seem, to abandon the stance that the Biden administration and Justice department are the enemies of the United States. Can they adopt more dangerous rhetoric that what they have decided must be their position? They are married to a lie and a con man, and are willing to pile more lies upon lies. Such an irresponsible, and highly dangerous tact, is unacceptable!

Sooner or later, and I hope we don’t have to wait for History to be the judge, the Truth will out.

From CNN's chief legal analyst

yes the world is looking at what this case was and all about and is utterly laughing at what is going on in the US. LIke i stated before this particular case is an utter contrived farce.
There Douche goes again, cherry picking the one article that supports his preconceptions (Trump good Biden bad) just as he always does this with vaccines. Funny how he always finds these articles.

The algorithms know what he wants to see (trump is a victim and Biden is horrible) so they give him what he wants.

And in this telling instance, acknowledgement that his film was a work of fiction.

The conservative media company behind the book and film “2,000 Mules,” which alleged a widespread conspiracy by Democrats to steal the 2020 election and was embraced by former President Donald Trump, has issued an apology and said it would halt distribution of the film and remove both the film and book from its platforms.

In a statement posted to their website, Salem Media Group, Inc. apologized specifically to Mark Andrews, a voter from Georgia falsely depicted illegally voting in “2,000 Mules.”

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation cleared Andrews of wrongdoing, and found he was legally dropping off ballots for members of his family. Andrews filed a defamation lawsuit against Salem, as well as the team behind the movie: right wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza, and the group True the Vote.

Though “2,000 Mules” has been widely debunked by law enforcement officials and the media, including NPR, the film and book developed a widespread following among supporters of the false claim that the 2020 election was stolen.

How odd. I’ve been assured by certain members here that 2,000 Mules is about fraud. So you’re telling me it’s ********?

2,000 Mules is about fraud. That isn't what I'm saying. The changes made to the system advantage population density. The bias introduced by the changes is strong enough that exurbs and rural areas might as well not have votes at all. A voter in the suburbs is worth about a third as much as a voter in urban areas. Voters in places like apartment buildings and dormitories are the most valuable.

The names, addresses, and party affiliations of voters are known. If ballot harvesting is allowed then it becomes a race of how many of your voters, as identified on the list printed out for you, can you reach per hour. There will be pockets here and there that could go the other way but across an entire state, the party of the urban centers will win that race 100% of the time.
I guess the forum’s idiot was right about one thing, 2,000 Mules is about fraud. Just not the fraud he thought. MAGA, the grift that keeps on giving because morons like Al keep buying what the grifters keep selling.

That movie was about fraud, and it wasn't in line with what I believed happened.

2,000 Mules is about fraud. That isn't what I'm saying.

I've never written a word in support of that movie. I can tell that you really hoped I had and you had some sort of gotcha, but no. I am curious though as to when you could only find the only post in which I mentioned the movie was to say that I didn't think that was how things went down, why you continued with posting my 'W'.

I guess the forum’s idiot was right
For an idiot, I seem to get an awful lot correct.

This utter contrived farce can only occur if trump sleeps with a pornstar, tells his lawyer to pay her off to keep quiet, pays off owners of media companies to kill negative stories, and falsified the documentation of the payments.

But rather than blame trump for the contrived farce you blame the Democrats or something. That's kind of a farce itself. I can smell your trump cologne from all the way across the pond

good grief Anything you disagree with is automatically something you have to categorise as MAGA ?? **** me
