The memphis pick

I'd be intrigued with taking Larry Sanders, Lawal,or Ebanks if the Jazz were to trade into the mid 20's for the Memphis pick or next year's 1st.

Nope. No trade will be made. Greg is already eyeing the $3M that the pick will turn into if Memphis misses the playoffs or just gets in over the next few seasonb. And that is pretty likely to happen in a stacked WC.

Even as a young team Memphis went 40-42 this season, tying them with Toronto for the 12th worst record. To assume that Memphis won't be able to at least maintain their current win total over the next few years, causing us to lose the pick for cash, is ridiculous. Memphis is getting better, not worse. They have 3 first round picks this year! My guess is that we will receive the pick either next year or in 2012. It will certainly help our odds for next year if they can keep Rudy Gay.
