The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Alright I'm kinda confused right now, because a lot of really smart people told me the Wolves only blew the Nuggets out in Game 2 because Gobert didn't play.
Bro, he didn't even break 30 minutes tonight. Do the math. The less he plays, the better Minnesota does. He doesn't play game 2 and they win. He has his lowest minute total in game 6 and they blow it out. Think about it. This is patently obvious to any 15 year old.

He's not even closing out the fourth quarter. Dude literally got played off the floor.

Proposed from some Bleacher Report writer as a draft day trade. They had Holland at #10 and Castle at #12. Would you?

Utah Jazz receive: Josh Giddey, Ousmane Dieng, No. 12 pick, 2025 first-round pick (their own), 2025 first-round pick (lottery-protected, via MIA), 2028 first-round pick swap (via DAL) and 2029 first-round pick swap
Oklahoma City Thunder receive: Lauri Markkanen

I expect a nice bounce back game from Rudy. He has seen all the chatter. He is the poster child for chip on your shoulder. He will play with maximum effort and intensity tonight. And jokic will still do his thing but it's going to be much harder for jokic tonight.
Ant is going to look like Jordan again.
I'm predicting that the wolves win somewhat easily.

Jeez. How many casinos in Vegas have banned you from entering?

This series has been a bit of a disappointment for me. Seems like half the games have been blowouts. I’d rather have competitive nail biters than these 20+ pt swings. It’s hard to gauge who the better team is when this happens. Not sure if I’ve ever seen a series like this.

Who will show up on Sunday? Good Murray or bad Murray? Will Aaron Gordon dominate or just be a role player? Good mcdaniels or bad mcdaniels? Patient KAT or idiotic fouling KAT? Which bench will show up? Which team will nail their 3s? It’s hard to tell with each team dropping just complete offensive turds throughout this series. Is it the other team giving it to them good and hard or is it because they failed to show up? It doesnt seem like Denver showed up at all to compete tonight but they did jump to a 9-2 start. So maybe Minnesota played that well?

I think Minnesota is the better team but Denver has the more reliable stars. I want Minnesota but I’m guessing joker, Gordon, and Murray show up for game 7 while mcdaniels, Kat, and Naz return to being absolute puppies again.

Jazz aren't going to move Lauri for that heap. If the Jazz are going to move Lauri, they should take back some PHX picks from Brooklyn.

We can do better than that. We need to make OKC give out all the Clippers picks they own at the very minimum.

Going on record here:

I hate when people call Key a chucker. Let the dude grow and breathe. And we have no idea what Hardy was telling him to force/try.
Well said.

Also the stats actually say this:
He took 440 three point shots in the season of which:
  • Only 4 (<1%) where very tightly contested (0-2 ft of separation)
  • 59 (13.4%) were tightly contensted (2-4 ft)
  • 199 (45.2%) were open (4-6 ft)
  • 170 (38.6%) were wide open (6+ ft)
So a total 83.8% of his shots were either open or wide open. People labeling him as a chucker are just complete frauds as basketball analysts. If you are the supposed the future lead guard who then doesnt take open shots the criticism would actually be more warranted.

His decission making on shooting is such a non-issue that its ridiculous to even talk about it. On passing he definitely had many moments where the decission making failed. But for shooting the only problem really was that he just didnt hit enough shots... but seeing he is a rookie who still needs a lot of work on his upper body strenght, its nothing we should worry about yet.

PS:
Dont ask where 8 shots have disappeared from his total of 440 (which is why the percentages or splits dont add up).... but those numbers are taken from NBA.com stats.
