The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I see a ton of Nuggets fans saying they should retain Peyton Watson at all costs and go into the second apron for a year then just let Cam Johnson’s contract expire. I have bad news for those people.
I mean they could just dump Johnson into someone's space or do an uneven trade. They have some options. If Watson gets a max or something close to it I think that is the easy call for the Nuggs. If its in the 30M range they can rearrange some furniture. Cam still has value.

I think it’s more realistic that we’re having a conversation about getting their 2026 1st for eating Cam and Jonas’s >$30 million in expiring contracts and a 2nds or two to even out the deal.

They also have the option of picking Watson over Braun.

Again, in any case, if I’m the Jazz having the offer sheet ready the second it can drop is a no-brainer (obviously assuming Watson’s continues on this general trajectory, which I see no reason it won’t).

For sure, my point was they aren’t going to keep everyone.

JV is non-guaranteed. I could see it being Cam and Zeke with no picks or a second if it came down to it.

I think the Nuggets keep Cam but they end up deciding between Watson and Braun. Braun has been injured, so maybe he deserves grace, but he's been really bad this year and I'm not sure they'd find a taker for him.

NBA world: Ethical and smart. I see no wrong doing here.

Jazz rest Lauri after playing him 84 minutes in 2 games

NBA world: Tanking is worse than cancer because they ruined the Jazz/Hornets game.

To be fair, most of the podcasts I listen to are not mad at the Jazz and understand that it's smart for them to keep their pick. I think it's just a lot of noise right now, and when you are trying to be sneaky you want everything to be as quiet as possible.

I truly don't care other than dumb media using us as the face of tanking when there are clearly worse examples.

Tyler Herro is taking a rest today. It's not a back to back or tanking. Some say it's a trade, but realistically it's because rest is good and player health is a critical issue for all teams!
