The reason Obama's citizenship is questioned

Excuse me if I don't give a crap about his ability to play basketball like most males, as he destroys our economy and country.

This is the problem with you, and many like you. You are so full of hate, you can't even step back and say one nice thing about someone.
As if poor little you is being destroyed by Obama. It's all Obama's fault.

Simpletons.

THis reminds me of an article I read yesterday. It was on a focus group that viewed various negative ads from t he right and left. They focus group overwhelmingly pointed to an ad that really caught their attention adn made them think.

The ad was anti Obama. It simply took a series of normal joes and janes that voted for Obama in 2008 and had them explain why they did then and why they are not now. Their normal response was about how Obama is a wonderfuls mart man but just not getting the job done. Praised him on his character and failed him on his job performance.

Do you think with Mccain or Palin we'd be in a better position right now?

That was not even the point I was trying to make. It was more about ads critiqueing his policies while praising him personal appear to be the most effective for the right.

It was more in line with your point. What really captured peoples attention was people that where not blinded by simple dislike or hate. People that could see the good and bad in Obama and why they decided the way they did.

A rival ad of a similar stripe would be good for the Dems as well I would think. Praise Romney as a good hard working family man. Then just show that he simply does not get it policy wise.

No no I understand what you were doing there I just wanted to ask you another question. You seem to be conservative, but somewhat more to the center. I'm curious to know if you think having
Mccain in office we'd be in a different place as a nation right now? Would the nation have recovered better with Mccain in office? What do you think. I've never seen you say who you voted
for in the last election either. How do you feel now?

You act like it is a personal affront to you if I don't swoon about how cool he is for giving 20 billion boring speeches, playing 20,000 rounds of golf while in office. Sorry, I ain't into royalty worship like the Brits.

I guess I could blame it all on Bush like the liberals but Obama's had 3+ years, and I have plenty of loved ones effected by Obama's WAR ON PROSPERITY, to want the "cool" man gone.

Obama's comments in 2009: "You know, a year from now, I think people are going to see that we're starting to make some progress but there is still going to be some pain out there. If I don't have this done in three years, then there's going to be a one-term proposition."

This is a really tough question to answer...

On the one hand, all of the republicans in the house and senate probably wouldn't have went out of their way to hurt the country in every way possible (in order to blame the president) if McCain had won.

On the other hand, the policies they pushed would have been the same crap that caused the recession under Bush.

Stop making into a big thing. I'm trying to avoid the policy, and the bs for one second. Sorry if I'm taking it there, or pushing it. I'm just curious if you can just break down one aspect about the guy, and say something nice about him.
You seem to be so far to the right that you can't see clearly anymore. This type of thinking on both sides is really the biggest problem in my eyes.

You mean like when a bunch of rednecks insist the president doesn't qualify for the job because he's really an African? Even after the president released his birth certificate? Or when a bunch of rednecks say the president isn't qualified because of some things the pastor at his Christian church said, and later claim he doesn't qualify to be president because he's really a Muslim?

Yes, that is what I mean.

There are a few republicans I truly respect out there that can admit their failures. They don't like Obama, but they can admit their own **** ups. Then there are some who think the country was fine and dandy
when Obama took office, and it's all his fault. Those people don't hold much weight in any argument.

To be honest I am not sure. I have not followed McCains stances on things like Syria, Libya, the bailouts, the budget. He did seem to much more to the center than Obama and I would generally think that would be better.

I personally keep my actual vote to myself. Palin would have been a horrible VP in my opinion.

Are there legitimate concerns to raise, regarding that document? I thought that was the point.

I don't believe so, but I don't deny other's their right to question it's legitimacy. Stop acting like I think the questions are valid. I'm just saying that you can't even acknowledge the actual arguments the opposition is making. I don't doubt Obama's citizenship and even if he was openly communist and a Muslim I wouldn't consider that a disqualification to hold the office of the President of the United States.

No but the Dems would have. I truly believe that. Both sides have totally cast aside what is best for the country and focus on political points and retaining power.

The problem today is you can't even say anything nice about the other side anymore. It happened with Bush. The left was so blinded by hate that everything Bush did was evil, and wrong.
The lack and general disrespect we have for each other is making it impossible to see straight sometimes.

Pearlwatson can't separate himself for one second, and just talk about Obama the human being. That shows me his view is too blinded by hate to truly take seriously.

I agree. From everything I can tell Obama is a good father and a good husband. He is intelligent and has a fantastic speaking ability. He is also fairly handsome. The good husband and father points are particularly big in my book.

@ Revo - One place I do think the nation would be different. I think the race relations would have suffered a major setback if President Obama had not won. The extremes of both sides would have used that as a weapon to show that America is truly what they want to paint it as.

Will you tell me this.... Have you voted Democrat once?

Mccain was ok overall except his views on the military imo. Palin was a joke professionally, but not a evil or bad woman.
I remember reading Mccain thinking we should taking a more active role in Syria, and thinks our military actions in Iraq should have continued. I think he'd have us more involved in Syria, but Obama
hasn't been a liberal softie in national defense. Mccain was quoted as saying (before the election)he wouldn't go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden. Who knows though?

I really don't think Mccain and his team would be that much better or worse than Obama right now.

Yes, more than once. Not the majority but i'd say about 25-35% of the time. Normally in more of the local elections.

For example: I voted for a D to represent me in the house.

I was going to say McCains more hawkish stance on places like Libya and Syria but I deleted it because I was not sure it was him I was thinking of. This confirms that it indeed was him.

See that's all I'm wanting to see. Now blast his policy if you feel the need to. We truly need more people like you in this country.
We can't be so blinded by our views that we can't see the good in most people. I've been guilty myself.

Funny true story. man came in and spoke with me. The very first thing he said was to accuse President Obama of messing with his record. I calm him down and look into the information I have on him. Then I notice that this man has moved and never told us. I point out the problem. Then I told him; How dare PRESIDENT Obama not update your address with us?! He truly is out to get you. I'd consider moving out of country and beyond his reach. The man was speachless and just got up and left.

Idiots...
