The Way to Get Giannis to Utah

I love how the Jazz have never found any serious takers for Sexton or Collins despite dangling them the whole time, but suddenly they're an important part of a Giannis trade as "solid starters".

LOL

Don't think we get Jrue Holiday for that stash. Celtics still in "win-now" mode and Jrue is a huge piece of that. IMO they'd need more and would probably want a better "win now" piece than we can offer (in lieu of future draft picks).

They are definitely in save money mode from all reporting.

We don’t know how much of that has to do with Ainge’s desire to “win” every trade. I say this irrespective of the topic of this thread.

Then why did the Jazz trade 3 picks to get it? I think plenty of GMs would be greatly intrigued by it.
We will see. To begin with, I think the Jazz FO has made a number of bad decisions the last 3 years and this is one of them. I would guess that the Jazz realized they had more picks than they wanted and found they were unable to off load picks the last two years. No one can predict with any degree of confidence any team 6 years out. Stockpiling picks hits a law of diminishing returns.

You cant live above the 2nd apron. The repeater penalties are rough.. including your draft pick being sent to last every year.
