No, they could do it. They just have to waive the trio of vets and Favors. They can keep Exum and still do that, possibly. The Jazz would have around 13-14 million in cap-room (I'm still assuming a 3 year deal slightly below the MLE for Exum) then have the non-tax payer mid-level.
It's just a tough thing to know if you can do since Bjelica is a RFA.
True, but I think there was a wink-and-nod from DL to Mitchell and Rubio to get after BJelly. Utah probably won't do anything overly drastic with the roster after the turmoil last off season and how this team banded together. That said, Utah will be targeting a stretch 4 and BJelly is probably the prime target. Honestly, it does make sense.
I also wonder if Booker wouldn't mind coming back for a end-of-bench role if nothing else pans out. He could be 50 and I'd still have him on the team. But then again, I just miss him.
