Cason would have to be the headlining playerIf we start up negotiations with OKC then I'm sure we're asking for Jalen Williams, but would end up leaving with a boat load of picks instead.

I'm now convinced we are tanking with Collins for the next two years and when he opts into his 3rd we will have a great trade building block. He had one season where he was 28/5/5 on incredible efficiency. Other years he's closer to 25/5/5 but on really good efficiency. Kuz has always been a volume but low efficiency scorer. I think the biggest knocks on LaVine are he's a defensive liability, he's not the cerebral guy at the highest levels, and injury concerns.
I think with where we are flipping Collins for LaVine makes sense (though I would have just rather not done the Collins deal).
Probably not in a hurry, but if Lauri (who is seemingly a perfect fit if they view Chet as a 5 not a 4) is available they may have to. Not like you can just sit on your hands and wait for the perfect timing.I don't think OKC is in any hurry to accelerate their timeline. I would guess they are interested in Lauri, like every team should be, but would imagine SGA, Jalen Williams, and Chet are all off limits for them.
Are you suggesting there was a better FA we could have signed? I don't think there was a better player we could have got this year.Yeah, you're probably right. What about the $80M, though?
That's exactly why isn't a #1 and never has been.Nah. LaVine was the face of that franchise back then. They were building around him but soon realized Zach wasn't someone who can carry a team.
I'm still convinced we don't have much of a "plan" and its one of those things when you don't have a plan you kinda go where opportunity takes you. The next opportunity will be fairly critical.I'm now convinced we are tanking with Collins for the next two years and when he opts into his 3rd we will have a great trade building block.
I mean he was...That's exactly why isn't a #1 and never has been.
The only year they were decent he was #2 behind DeRozan.I mean he was...
The Bulls were a very good team when Lonzo was healthy and he was the #1
The pairing of he and Caruso was nasty defensively for them during that stretch. He definitely wouldn't have been viewed as their number 1 though. He was a great complimentary piece to Derozan and Lavine. I almost feel bad for bulls fans with the injury luck over the years but you can't feel too bad for a fan base that was able to have MJ.I mean he was...

Having gone through this dance before with some posters about who would and wouldn't sign here I now go to undeniable guys that would sign here. So DJJ a guy I liked that signed for the min and throwing a placeholder 10M 1+1 is where I started. Looking at a bottom of the barrel type thing. They have gone on ad nauseam about signing Derrick Jones Jr and someone else for 10M with the money lol.
Nevertheless, LaVine had a long stretch where he was the clear #1 option and franchise player on the Bulls. This is not debatable. It just didn't work out.The only year they were decent he was #2 behind DeRozan.
