From what i have read it has not been laid at anyones feet yer. Both Ukraine and the rebels are blaming each other.

If I had to guess I'd say the Ukranian gov. did it in retaliation for two oftheir planes being brought down. They blame Russia and may have thought this was a Russian cargo plane and not a Malaysian passenger jet.

How horrible.

Yep. We're way past the point of no return too imo. Our only hope is a bubonic plague of sorts that wipes out the majority of the people on our planet. Probably vast majority too.

Ya, i kinda think overpopulation is numero uno on the list of this planets problems.

Work in a retirement home and you will want children again. Old people are ****ing lonely and bored all day. That is why I want 5 kids and if my wife doesn't want all 5 I will have a couple of kids on the side :).

Because the world is better today than it's been in any time during it's history. It's true and not hyperbole on my part. There are less poor people, less disease, less crime, less war...the list goes on and on.

QSH, you're bringing a child into this world to add to the goodness that is all around you. Believe that or your child will internalize your cynicism.

Which kind of amazes me. Think of all the people that are killed and die all over the world. Mexico, Africa, Middle East, Ukraine...and we are still growing as a population.
 
Not an aviation expert by any means; but wouldn't it be a good idea whenever possible to re-route commercial planes away from areas that are experiencing an on-going armed conflict? I'm pretty sure just this past Monday a cargo plane was shot down over Ukraine by Russian or pro-Russian rebels.

My guess it was shot down by accident; but the media will ride this terrorism thing as long as possible.

Would you just STFU already? About 300 people were just killed and you are on here trying to make a political point rather than being respectful to those that lost their lives.

I imagine this, if true, will heat up the talk a bit on that front(well, of doing something more, maybe not invading):

The Interior Ministry claims that 23 Americans were killed in the crash, according to Interfax. The State Department is looking into whether Americans were on the flight.
