Not +/- but I didnt want to make a new thread. He is some early interesting advanced stats.
I thought we were running a lot more iso's but looking at the stats we are not running many of those. Mitchell gets the most at a little over 2 a game followed by Clarkson not far behind. We do run a ton of pick and rolls with Mitchell leading the way at 13.4 per game which is second most in the NBA, second most is Conley. But stats arent great from them in these, its pretty average. Also unfortunately Rudy isnt getting the ball much from those pick and rolls and even worse when he is its a turnover 17% of the time, which is really high.
Bojan is leading our team with postups and it is incredibly efficient and a great play. I think we should run it a little more. He is shooting 70% in postups and is probably the best stats in the NBA at them right now, maybe behind only Paul George and about the same as DeRozan.
Gobert is getting the second most cuts per game in the NBA and its pretty much a guaranteed points or FTs.
Coming off screens Bojan followed by Clarkson are getting the most and they are awful, they average 27% on those shots.
Gobert is the best in the League at put back, he has a high frequency and again its a guaranteed basket or FTs. I dont think anyone is close to him at these this year.
Bojan followed closely by Mitchell are getting the most transition shots. Mitchell is awful in these shots, Bojan is okay but still meh. Royce has gotten the 3rd most and is awesome at them. I feel like him getting the ball on the fast break is guaranted points this year. He would be much better on a team that runs more.
Mitchell is getting the most drives on our team and top 10 in the NBA. His numbers are really good on these. Our team overall is pretty good here with Conley and Clarkson being really solid as well.
Jazz are not generating many catch and shoot shots and outside of Conley and Ingles the team is shooting really really bad at them.
Mtichell gets the most touches per game but he is barely in the top 50 for touches per game. Gobert needs more touches he is 7th on our team in touches and not many more than Paschall, he is also the lowest average sec per touch on the team. Pretty much he just gets a few touches at the top of the key and passes it right back. Gobert and Whiteside get the most points per touch, but that is pretty obvious.
Distance per game is in the following order Royce, Bojan, Mitchell, Gobert, Conley, Clarkson, Ingles, Paschall... Mitchell has the slowest average speed on the court.
