What's new

Utah has two Top-10 players according to 538

Gobert and Mitchell are awesome, but there are so many great players left off this top 10 list it's a little hard to believe that its from a credible source.
Who would take Butler over Kawhi? (who didn't even make the list of the top 10)
And who is taking KAT over Jokic? (also not on the list)
The best player in the league (Kawhi) didn't make the top 10 players in the NBA!!!???

The list isn't based on opinions of top 10 players. It's using stats for games played so far this season using their 'Raptor' rating system. RAPTOR, which stands for Robust Algorithm (using) Player Tracking (and) On/Off Ratings. Fivethirtyeight is a stats website and they also invented the Carmelo rating metric and a few others I think.

Jokic got off to a slow start this year.

Kawhi isn't even playing.

And Bojan’s been awesome.

Imagine if we could dump Mike.

Dump Mike? He's just starting to look comfortable in our system and has been playing very well of late. He's only been here for 16 games so far, as the season progresses I would expect him to just keep playing better and better.

Gobert has been top ten for the past two seasons. Id say Mitchell is approaching the top 15 now if we talking overall.

Cool to see Gobert ranked so highly in what is a down year for his offense with how the Utah system has changed.
