And as far as all of the logo/nickname business, like Salty I've heard rumblings that the Ute tribe is trying to squeeze more $$$$$ out of the university. I don't think that the Pac 12 is leaning on Utah at all, but IMO that could change if the Ute tribe pulls it's consent and all of a sudden it's a bigger issue. I'm very torn on this. I don't want to see the drum and feather go away and I certainly can't see calling that team anything other than the Utes. With that being said, I think the Ute tribe is acting very petty and I would applaud the school if they told them to go **** themselves. IMO this has always been a beneficial partnership for both sides. If the Ute Tribe is going to use Utah's new financial status as a Pac 12 member as an attempt at a cash grab, perhaps Utah is better off ending all of this sooner rather than later.

Couldn't agree more, miraculously we dug ourselves out of the hole Hays dug for us throwing that pick 6. I don't want the nerves next season every time I see Hays drop back for a pass.

There's something about Utah playing option offenses that always give Ute fans headaches but somehow we always end up on top.

Trying to stay away from sharp objects and all that. I agree that it sucks, by the way. I'm just saying lets not go through it again in a few years. If the drum end feather is unacceptable for whatever reason, surely the name "Utes" will eventually be deemed unacceptable for the same reason.

Not a bad point. I still think a few of their wins are against better teams than any team BYU beat. UCLA, Pittsburgh and Georgia tech are all bigger name schools than anybody Byu defeated.

I don't disagree with your point, but a bigger name doesn't always equal a better team. BYU probably wouldn't have beaten any of those schools. UCLA, maybe.
